Abstract

PURPOSE: A process for preparing a novel toothpaste by adding a green tea extract, chitosan and xylitol as a natural material is provided. Whereby, the product has effects on prevention of various diseases in the oral cavity by reinforcing immunoactivity in the oral cavity and elimination of bad breath while preventing tooth decay. CONSTITUTION: Sorbitol as a wetting agent and purified water are introduced into a mixer, agitated for 10min, added with toothpaste materials such as abrasives, binders or the like and subjected to defoaming by operation of a vacuum pump after agitating for 30 to 40min. Thereafter, a defoaming agent is introduced thereinto, agitated for 10 to 20min to absolutely defoam. The mixture is mixed with a tea extract, chitosan and xylitol and then agitated for 10 to 20min after adding flavorings.
