Claims (98)
- 다음을 포함하는 브레이스 설치기구(brace installation instrument):제 1 및 제 2 앵커연장부로서, 각각이 적어도 하나의 근위말단 및 골 구조물에 고정된 대응되는 앵커를 장착하기 위한 적어도 하나의 원위말단을 구비한 앵커연장부; 및선회하는(pivoting) 브레이스 삽입기로서, 근위말단 및 원위말단을 구비하고, 상기 앵커연장부의 근위말단에 인접하여 장착된 지지팔 및 상기 삽입기의 원위말단에 있는 브레이스 장착 부위에 이르는 피봇팔을 포함하며, 상기 앵커에 대하여 피봇축을 중심으로 선회가능한 브레이스 삽입기.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 앵커연장부 각각이 대응되는 앵커에 피봇식으로 장착되고, 상기 브레이스 삽입기가 상기 지지팔에 피봇식으로 고정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 기구.

- 제 70항에 있어서, 상기 브레이스의 말단을 도입하는 단계가 상기 브레이스의 말단을 경피적으로(percutaneously) 도입하는 과정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 69항에 있어서, 다음의 단계들을 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법:상기 브레이스를 상기 앵커에 고정하는 단계;상기 삽입기를 상기 브레이스로부터 분리하는 단계; 및상기 삽입기를 상기 호를 따라 역방향으로 이동시킴으로써 신체로부터 제거하는 단계.
- 제 72항에 있어서, 상기 설치기구를 신체로부터 제거하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 69항에 있어서, 상기 브레이스가 상기 호의 피봇축과 나란한 축을 중심으로 하는 단일 반경으로 만곡진 샤프트이고, 상기 방법이 브레이스를 도입한 후에 샤프트를 앵커 내의 리시버를 통해 도입하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 69항에 있어서, 상기 앵커를 배치하는 단계가 영상 안내 항법(image guided navigation)을 이용하여, 동물의 척추의 단일 레벨의 추골의 경(pedicle) 내에서의 앵커의 최적의 배치 및 배향을 결정하고, 앵커의 경피 천공 입구를 위한 동물의 피부 지점의 위치를 결정하는 과정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 75항에 있어서, 상기 앵커가 뼈 고정 파스너(bone engaging fastner)이고, 상기 앵커를 배치하는 단계가 상기 뼈 고정 파스너 및 지지팔을 미리조립된 유닛으로서 동물 피부의 두 군데 지점에 있는 천공을 통해 경피적으로 도입하는 과정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 69항의 척추융합술(spinal fusion) 방법에 있어서, 상기 뼈 부분이 동물 척추의 추골이고, 상기 방법이 다음의 단계들을 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법:추골간 디스크(intervertebral disc)를 대상에 형성된 제 1 경피 천공을 통해 제 1 및 제 2 추골 사이의 공간으로부터 제거하는 단계;하나 이상의 양수체 융합 장치(interbody fusion device)를 상기 공간 내로 도입하는 단계;제 1 및 제 2 앵커를 상기 대상에 형성된 제 2 및 제 3의 경피 천공을 통해 각각 상기 제 1 및 제 2 추골에 고정하는 단계; 및브레이스를 상기 대상에 형성된 제 4의 경피 천공을 통해 설치한 다음, 제 1 및 제 2 앵커연장부 각각에 있는 구멍을 통해 상기 앵커에 조임 공구(fastening tool)를 적용함으로써 상기 브레이스를 상기 앵커에 결합시키는 단계.
- 제 77항에 있어서, 상기 하나 이상의 양수체 융합 장치를 도입하는 단계가 상기 디스크 공간으로의 복측 접근(anterior approach)을 통해 하나 이상의 양수체 융합 장치를 도입하는 과정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 78항에 있어서, 상기 브레이스 설치 단계가 다음의 과정들을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법:브레이스를 상기 브레이스를 포함하며 상기 브레이스의 만곡의 축과 직각을 이루는 평면 상의 호를 따라 회전시키는 과정; 및상기 브레이스를 앵커 내의 통로로 통과시키는 과정.
- 제 76항에 있어서, 상기 통로로부터 상기 브레이스의 만곡의 반경과 동일한 고정된 거리에 피봇축을 설정하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 80항에 있어서, 상기 피봇축을 설정하는 단계가 앵커연장부에 지지팔을 장착하여 브레이스 삽입기를 상기 앵커연장부에 결합시키는 과정을 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 81항에 있어서, 다음의 단계들을 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법:브레이스를 브레이스 삽입기에 결합시키는 단계; 및상기 브레이스 삽입기를 상기 브레이스로부터 분리하는 단계.
- 다음의 단계들을 포함하는, 동물 대상에 연결요소(connecting element)를 설치하는 방법:제 1 및 제 2 앵커를 신체의 제 1 및 제 2 뼈 부분에 배치하는 단계;연결요소가 고정되어 있는 설치기구를 상기 제 1 및 제 2 앵커에 장착하는 단계; 및상기 설치기구를 이동시켜 상기 연결요소를 상기 제 1 및 제 2 앵커에 더욱 근접하게 위치시키는 단계.
- 제 83항에 있어서, 상기 연결요소가 상기 설치기구에 탈착가능하게 고정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 83항에 있어서, 상기 설치기구를 이동시킨 다음 상기 연결요소를 제 1 및 제 2 앵커에 고정하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 다음의 단계들을 포함하는, 동물 대상에 브레이스를 설치하는 방법:각각 제 1 및 제 2 앵커연장부에 장착된 제 1 및 제 2 앵커를 신체의 제 1 및 제 2 뼈 부분에 배치하는 단계;브레이스 삽입기를 상기 제 1 및 제 2 앵커연장부에 장착하는 단계; 및상기 브레이스 삽입기를 이용하여 브레이스를 상기 앵커에 대하여 목적 위치로 안내하는 단계.
- 제 86항에 있어서, 상기 브레이스가 만곡지고, 상기 브레이스 삽입기가 피봇축을 가지며, 상기 브레이스를 안내하는 단계가 상기 브레이스를 포함하며 상기 브레이스의 만곡의 축과 직각을 이루는 평면 상의 호를 따라 상기 브레이스를 회전시키는 과정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 87항에 있어서, 상기 브레이스를 안내하는 단계가 상기 브레이스의 일부분을 상기 앵커 내의 통로로 통과시키는 과정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 88항에 있어서, 상기 브레이스 삽입기의 피봇축이 상기 통로로부터 상기 브레이스의 만곡의 반경과 동일한 고정된 거리에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 86항에 있어서, 상기 방법이 영상 안내 항법(image guided navigation)을 이용하여 상기 앵커를 뼈 부분에 대하여 배향시키는 단계를 추가로 포함하며, 상기 제 1 및 제 2 앵커와 앵커연장부들을 배치하는 단계가 앵커 및 앵커연장부를 경피적으로 배치하는 과정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 86항에 있어서, 상기 뼈 부분이 한 추골 레벨(vertebral level)의 제 1 및 제 2 추골인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 91항에 있어서, 다음의 단계들을 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법:영상 안내 항법(image guided navigation)을 이용하여 각 추골 내에 가이드와이어를 배향 및 배치하는 단계;앵커 및 앵커연장부를 대응되는 가이드와이어로 안내하는 단계; 및상기 앵커를 상기 제 1 및 제 2 추골에 배치한 다음 상기 가이드와이어를 제거하는 단계.
- 다음의 단계들을 포함하는, 동물 대상의 적어도 하나의 추골 레벨(vertebral level)을 안정화하는 방법:적어도 하나의 양수체 융합 장치를 추골 사이의 디스크 공간 내에 삽입하는단계;대상에 형성된 제 1 및 제 2 경피 천공을 통해 제 1 및 제 2 앵커를 대응되는 추골에 고정하는 단계;설치기구를 상기 제 1 및 제 2 앵커에 장착하는 단계; 및대상에 형성된 제 3 경피 천공을 통해 상기 설치기구를 이용하여 브레이스를 상기 제 1 및 제 2 앵커에 근접하게 배치하는 단계.
- 제 93항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 및 제 2 앵커를 고정하는 단계가 상기 앵커를 상기 제 1 및 제 2 경피 천공을 통해 고정하는 과정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 94항에 있어서, 상기 브레이스를 배치하는 단계가 상기 브레이스를 상기 제 3 경피 천공을 통해 배치하는 과정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 95항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 하나의 양수체 융합 장치가 상기 대상에 형성된 제 4의 경피 천공을 통해 삽입되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 96항에 있어서, 추골간 디스크 물질을 상기 대상에 형성된 제 4의 경피 천공을 통해 제 1 및 제 2 추골 사이의 디스크 공간으로부터 제거하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 93항에 있어서, 상기 설치기구의 공구 구멍(tool bore)을 통해 상기 앵커에 조임 공구(fastening tool)를 적용함으로써 상기 브레이스를 상기 앵커에 고정하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
