Abstract

Description

액체 및 고체 배설물을 수용하기 위한 주름을 지닌 기저귀 {Diaper with Pleats for Containment of Liquid and Solid Waste}
유아 및 요실금이 있는 사람들은 요소 및 기타 신체 배출물을 수용하기 위한 기저귀같은 흡수 용품을 착용해야 한다. 이러한 용품은 신체 배출물이 의복 또는 착용자와 접촉하게 되는 침구류과 같은 다른 용품을 더럽히거나 적시거나 오염시키는 것을 방지한다. 이러한 용품에서 가장 흔한 형태의 헛점은 흡수 용품과 인접하는 착용자의 다리 또는 허리와 흡수 용품 사이의 갭에서 신체 배출물이 새어나오는 경우에 일어나는데, 이는 신체 배출물이 용품 내로 즉시 흡수되지 못하기 때문이다. 이는 흡수 용품에 의해 쉽게 흡수되지 못하는 점착성이 없는 배설물일 경우에 대부분 일어난다.

반면에, 본 발명은 먼저 흡수 코어를 통과하지 않고도, 액체 및 고체 물질을 수집하기 위한 확장성 배면 시트를 갖는 흡수 용품을 제공한다. 본 발명이 기저귀 형태인 경우, 특히 유리한 점은 서혜부 폭을 증가시키지 않도록 기저귀의 보이드(void) 부피가 내부보다 기저귀의 표피에서 증가된다는 것이다. 중요하게는, 보이드 부피가 표피에서 증가되기 때문에, 착용자와 흡수 코어 간의 공간이 증가되고, 더불어 착용자에게는 불편함을 감소시킨다. 또한, 본 발명에서는 주름으로 인해 부적절하게 기저귀 전체의 벌크성을 증가시키지 않으면서 액체 및 고체 물질 모두를 수용하게 한다.

흡수 구조는 광범위한 재료로부터 예를 들어, 직사각형, 사다리꼴, T-형, l-형, 모래시계형 등과 같은 다양한 크기 및 모양으로 제작될 수 있다. 본 발명에 사용되기에 적합한 흡수 용품 구조는 미국 특허 제5,192,606호에 기재되어 있고, 그 전문은 본 명세서에 일치하는 방식으로 인용되어 있다. 흡수 구조의 크기 및 흡수 용량은 착용자의 사이즈 및 흡수 용품의 사용 용도에 부합되는 액체 로딩과 상용적이어야 한다.
다양한 유형의 습윤성의 친수성 섬유 물질이 사용되어 흡수 구조의 성분을 형성할 수 있다. 적합한 섬유의 예로는 고유한 습윤성 물질로 구성된 천연 유기 섬유, 예를 들어 셀룰로즈 섬유; 셀룰로즈 또는 셀룰로즈 유도체로 구성된 합성 섬유, 예를 들어 레이온 섬유; 고유의 습윤성 물질로 구성된 무기 섬유, 예를 들어 유리 섬유; 고유의 습윤성 열가소성 중합체로부터 제조된 합성 섬유, 예를 들어 특정 폴리에스테르 또는 폴리아미드 섬유; 및 비습윤성 열가소성 중합체로 구성된 합성 섬유, 예를 들어 적합한 수단으로 친수화된 폴리프로필렌 섬유가 포함된다. 섬유는 실리카 처리, 적합한 친수성기를 가지며 섬유로부터 쉽게 제거되지 않는 물질로의 처리, 또는 섬유를 형성하는 동안 또는 후에 친수성 중합체를 사용하여 비습윤성의 소수성 섬유를 쉬딩(sheathing)하여 친수화할 수 있다. 본 발명의 목적을 위하여, 상기 언급된 다양한 유형의 섬유의 선택된 블렌드를 사용할 수 있다.
전체 흡수 구조 또는 임의의 개별적 부분은 고습윤성 티슈 또는 합성 섬유 웹과 같은 친수성의 고습윤성 인벨롭 웹으로 중첩될 수 있다. 또한, 이러한 중첩 웹은 흡수 구조의 사용시 일체성을 증가시킬 수 있다. 웹은 예를 들어 접착제로 흡수 구조 및 용품 구조의 다른 성분에 적절하게 본딩될 수 있다.

또한, 본 실시양태에서, 흡수 구조가 주름의 최심부 위쪽으로 확장되지 않는 경우에, 충전 물질 (도시되지 않음)은 라이너와 배면 시트 사이에 샌드위치된 주름 영역으로 혼입될 수 있다. 충전 물질은 티슈, 위킹 물질, 초흡수체 또는 신체 배출물을 흡수하고(하거나) 혼합하여 냄새를 흡수, 제거 또는 신체 배출물을 중화시키는 화학 물질을 포함할 수 있다.
도 4에 최적으로 도시된 바와 같이 유사한 다른 실시양태에서, 흡수 구조의 측면 모서리는 기저귀의 전체 종방향을 따라 또는 정면 허리밴드부 및 배면 허리밴드부에서만 하나의 측면 가장자리에서 다른 측면 가장자리로 실질적으로 확장될 수 있다. 다른 경우에, 흡수 구조가 주름의 최심부와 주름의 최외각부 간의 영역에서 보다 얇은 두께를 지녀서 기저귀의 벌크성이 부적절하게 증가되지 않는 것이 바람직할 수 있다.
또한, 도 5에 최적으로 도시된 본 발명의 다른 실시양태에서, 라이너는 흡수 구조를 완전히 감싼다. 본 실시양태에서, 라이너는 배면 시트와 결합 또는 연결되는 것이 바람직하다. 가장 바람직하게는 라이너가 주름의 최심부들 간의 영역에서만 배면 시트와 결합되는 것이다.

바람직한 실시양태에서, 탄성 부재 (18)은 기저귀의 각 종방향 측면 모서리 (16a, 16b)을 따라 배치된다. 탄성 부재 (18)는 라이너 및 배면 시트층 중 어느 하나 또는 모두에 결합되어 기저귀 용품의 탄성적 측면 가장자리를 제공할 수 있고, 착용자의 다리에 대해 기저귀(10)를 신장 및 유지될 수 있게 한다. 탄성 부재가 어디에 연결되어 있든지, 중간부에서 탄성부재는 주름의 최외각부의 바깥쪽으로 연결되어 주름이 완전히 활장될 수 있어야 한다는 것이 인지되야 한다.
바람직하게, 탄성 부재 (18 및 26)은 탄성적으로 수축되는 조건에서 기저귀에 고정되어, 정상적인 응력 하에서는 탄성 부재가 효과적으로 기저귀에 대해 수축된다. 예를 들어, 기저귀가 비수축 조건 하에 있는 경우에 탄성 부재는 신장되어 고정될 수 있다. 또한, 기저귀는 예를 들어 주름 등에 의해 수축될 수 있고, 탄성 부재가 비이완 또는 비신장 상태에 있는 경우에 탄성 부재는 기저귀에 고정되어 연결될 수 있다. 열수축성 탄성 부재와 같은 다른 수단이 사용되어 용품을 집합 및 수축시킬 수 있다.
탄성 부재 (18)은 배면 시트 전체 길이로 확장될 수 있다. 또한, 탄성 부재는 본질적으로 서혜부 (24) 전체 길이로 또는 특정 기저귀 디자인에 바람직한 탄성적으로 수축되는 라인의 배열을 제공하기에 적합한 다른 길이를 따라 확장될 수 있다.
탄성 부재 (18 및 26)은 임의의 다중 형태를 가질 수 있다. 예를 들어, 각 탄성 부재 (18)의 폭은 0.25 mm (0.01 인치) 내지 25 mm (1.0 인치) 이상으로 변화될 수 있다. 탄성 부재는 몇가지 탄성 물질의 평행 또는 비평행 스트랜드를 포함하거나, 직선 또는 곡선 배열로 사용될 수 있다. 스트랜드가 비평행인 경우에, 2개 이상의 스트랜드가 탄성 부재 내에서 교차되거나 상호연결될 수 있다. 탄성 부재는 당업계에 공지된 수가지 방법에 의해 기저귀에 고정될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 탄성부재는 초음파적으로 결합되거나, 다양한 본딩 패턴을 사용한 가열 및 가압 봉합되거나, 또는 고온 용융물 또는 다른 유형의 접착제의 분사된 또는 스워링 패턴으로 기저귀에 접착 결합될 수 있다.
본 발명의 실시양태에서 설명된 바와 같이, 탄성 부재는 다수의 개별 탄성 스트랜드로 이루어진 1세트의 탄성체가 결합된 캐리어 시트 (70)를 포함한다. 탄성 스트랜드는 교차되거나, 상호연결되거나, 전체적으로 서로 분리될 수 있다. 도시된 캐리어 시트는 예를 들어 엠보싱되지 않은 폴리프로필렌 물질의 0.002 ㎝ 두께의 필름을 포함할 수 있다. 도시된 탄성 스트랜드는 예를 들어 듀퐁사에서 구입한 LYCRA 엘라스토머로 구성될 수 있다. 각 탄성 스트랜드는 통상적으로 620 내지 1050 데시텍스 (dtx) 내에 존재한다. 또한, 탄성 스트랜드는 일반적으로 직선 또는 임의로 곡선일 수 있다.
상기된 바와 같이, 기저귀는 라이너와 배면 시트 중 어느 하나 또는 모두와 결합 또는 연결된 탄성적 봉쇄 플랩을 포함하여 탄성적 수용력을 제공할 수 있다. 탄성 부재에서와 같이, 봉쇄 플랩은 적어도 중간부에서는 주름의 최외각부의 바깥쪽으로 연결되어 주름이 완전히 확장될 수 있어야 한다. 하나의 실시양태에서, 도 1에 도시된 바와 같이, 플랩 (19)는 측면 캐리어 (70)의 일부로 제공된다. 봉쇄 플랩은 탄성 부재 (18)의 내부에 위치한다. 봉쇄 플랩은 라이너를 포함하는 물질과 유사한 섬유 물질로 구성될 수 있다. 다른 통상의 물질, 예를 들어 중합체 필름이 사용될 수 있다. 본 발명의 다른 측면에서, 플랩은 기체, 예를 들어 주변 기체가 통과할 수 있는 물질로 제작된다. 본 발명의 다른 형태는 수용액, 예를 들어 요소를 통과하지 못하게 하는 물질로 제작된 방어벽 플랩을 포함할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 플랩은 스펀본드-멜트블론-스펀본드 (SMS) 라미네이트 물질로 제작될 수 있다.
각 봉쇄 플랩은 1개 이상의 개별적 엘라스토머 물질의 스트랜드를 포함할 수 있는 이동성 모서리부 (72)를 포함한다. 예를 들어, 다수의 탄성 스트랜드는 공간적으로 분리된, 일반적으로 평행한 배열이 될 수 있고, 적합한 탄성 스트랜드는 예를 들어 LYCRA 엘라스토머로 구성될 수 있다. 탄성체는 바람직하게는 탄성체 성분의 수축으로 봉쇄 플랩의 모서리가 집합되고 짧아지도록 탄성적으로 수축되는 조건 하에 봉쇄 플랩의 이동성 모서리에 연결된다. 그 결과, 봉쇄 플랩의 이동성 모서리는 일반적으로 똑바로 거의 수직 형태로, 특히 기저귀의 서혜부에서 라이너 (32)의 신체측 표면으로부터 떨어져서 배치되는 경향이 있다. 일반적으로 똑바로 거의 수직 형태를 제공함으로써, 플랩은 상기 기재된 주름과 함께 작동하여 액상 및 고상 신체 배출물을 수용하기 위한 부피를 제공한다.
테입 탭 결착부 (80)와 같은 결착 수단은 통상적으로 기저귀(10)의 배면 허리밴드부 (22)에 사용되어 착용자 상에 기저귀가 유지되기 위한 메카니즘을 제공한다. 테입 탭 결착부 (80)는 당업자에 공지되어 있고, 통상적으로 기저귀 (10)의 코너에 사용된다. 예를 들어 접착 결착부, 기계적 결착부, 후크-앤-루프 결착부, 스냅, 핀 또는 버클이 단독으로 또는 조합되어 사용될 수 있다. 도시된 형태에서, 결착부는 기저귀의 정면 허리밴드부에 결합된 부착 영역 패치 (도시되지 않음)에 박리적으로 결합되도록 제작된 후크-앤-루프 결착부의 숫컷 또는 후크부이다. 도시된 형태에서, 부착 영역 패치는 후크-앤-루프 결착부의 암컷 또는 루프부를 포함한다.
상기 기재된 실시양태에 대한 광범위한 변화 및 변형이 가능하다는 것이 이해되야 한다. 따라서, 상기 기재는 본 발명을 한정하기보다는 예시하려는 것이며, 본 발명을 한정하는 모든 등가물을 포함하여 하기 청구범위에 의해 제한된다.

Claims (11)

  1. a. 액체 투과성 라이너,
    b. 액체 불투과성 배면 시트,
    c. 라이너와 배면 시트 사이에 배치된 흡수 코어,
    d. 주름이 확장되는 경우에 주름이 확장되지 않는 경우 보다 큰 확장된 부피를 한정하는 각 측면 가장자리에 인접한 1개 이상의 주름
    을 포함하는, 종방향 축 및 횡방향 축, 정면 허리밴드부, 배면 허리밴드부, 및 정면 허리밴드부와 배면 허리밴드부를 상호연결하며 측면 가장자리 사이에 측면으로 대향하도록 배치된 중간부를 포함하는 일회용 흡수 용품
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 1개 이상의 주름이 실질적으로 종방향 축과 평행한 방향으로 확장되는 일회용 흡수 용품.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 1개 이상의 주름이 실질적으로 정면 허리밴드부로부터 배면 허리밴드부까지의 전체 종방향 길이로 확장되는 일회용 흡수 용품.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 1개 이상의 주름이 정면 허리밴드부 및 배면 허리밴드부에 결합되고, 중간부에는 결합되지 않는 일회용 흡수 용품.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 배면 시트가 다수의 주름을 포함하는 일회용 흡수 용품.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 주름이 실질적으로 종방향 축과 평행한 방향으로 확장되는 일회용 흡수 용품.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 각 측면 가장자리로부터 안쪽으로 배치된 봉쇄 플랩을 추가로 포함하는 일회용 흡수 용품.
  8. 제1항에 있어서, 라이너가 각 측면 가장자리에 대해 횡방향으로 확장되는 일회용 흡수 용품.
  9. 제1항에 있어서, 라이너가 흡수 코어를 완전히 감싸는 일회용 흡수 용품.
  10. 제1항에 있어서, 배면 시트가 협소 부위를 중간부에 지닌 모래시계형인 일회용 흡수 용품.
  11. 제1항에 있어서, 주름 내에 위치하는 충전 물질을 추가로 포함하는 일회용 흡수 용품.
