Claims (17)
- k 개의 안테나를 가지는 송신기를 포함하는 통신 시스템으로서, 상기 송신기는 소스로부터의 m-차원 송신 심벌 벡터의 수신에 응답하고, 상기 송신 심벌 벡터의 성분들은 QAM 심벌을 포함하고, 상기 송신 심벌 벡터는 소정의 변조 기술을 이용하여 상기 k 개의 안테나들 중 m 개의 안테나를 통하여 송신되며, 여기서 k≥m>1인 상기 통신 시스템에 있어서,상기 송신기로부터의 신호들을 n-차원 수신 신호 벡터로 수신하는 n 개의 안테나를 가지는 수신기를 포함하며, n≥m 이며, 상기 수신 신호 벡터는 각각 상기 송신기로부터의 심벌들의 선형 조합 및 부가적인 잡음을 포함하고,상기 수신기는 상기 n-차원의 수신 신호 벡터를 처리하여 m-차원의 송신 심벌 벡터의 추정치를 형성하는 검출 처리기를 더 포함하고,상기 검출기는(a) 상기 송신 심벌 벡터의 m 개의 성분들이 추정되는 순서를 정의하는 정수들(1, 2, ... m)의 양호한 순열을 결정하고, 상기 양호한 순열이 상기 m 개의 성분들의 신호대 잡음비의 함수이며,(b) 그 다음에 상기 수신 신호 벡터로부터 아직 추정되지 않은 송신 심벌 벡터 성분들((i+1), (i+2), ...... (m))에 의한 영향을 제거하고, 상기 수신 신호 벡터로부터 이미 추정된 송신 심벌 벡터 성분들((1), (2), ... (i-1))에 의한 영향을 제거하므로서, 상기 양호한 순열에 의해 정의된 순서로 상기 송신 심벌의 (i) 번째 배열된 성분을 추정하는((i)는 양호한 순열의 i 번째 요소를 나타냄) 처리기를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 검출 처리기는 신호 전파 환경을 특징짓는 수신 학습 신호들을 반복해서 처리하여 m 개의 공간적으로 매치된 필터 벡터들의 세트를 발생하고, 상기 m 개의 송신된 심벌들을 검출하기 위한 최고의 신호대 잡음비(SNR)를 제공하도록 배치되는 통신 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 m 개의 송신 심벌을 검출하는 순서는 상기 검출 과정의 m 개의 최소 신호대 잡음비를 최대화하는 통신 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 송신기 안테나의 선택은 송신 벡터 심벌의 그룹을 전송하기 전에 랜덤하게(무작위로) 변하는 통신 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 수신기로부터 상기 송신기로의 피드백 채널을 더 포함하고, 상기 송신기 안테나의 선택은 상기 수신기가 상기 피드백 채널을 통하여 상기 송신기에 공급하는 신호 전파 환경 정보에 의거하여 최적화되는 통신 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 수신기로부터 상기 송신기로의 피드백 채널을 더 포함하고, 상기 송신기는 소스에 의해 공급된 심벌들의 디멀티플렉스된 스트림의 서브스트림을 소정 세트의 송신 안테나들 각각을 통해 송신하고 상기 피드백 채널을 통해 상기 수신기에 의해 공급된 신호 전파 환경 정보에 의거하여 상기 세트의 안테나들을 형성하는 안테나들에 대한 선택을 변경하는 통신 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 수신기로부터 상기 송신기로의 피드백 채널을 더 포함하고, 상기 송신기는 상기 k 개의 송신기 안테나의 서브세트를 통해 벡터 심벌을 송신하고, 상기 서브세트는 피드백 채널을 통해 상기 수신기에 의해 공급된 신호 전파 환경 정보에 의거하여 선택되는 통신 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 수신기는 n 보다 더 큰 임의의 개수의 수신 안테나를 가지며, 상기 송신기로부터의 신호들을 n-차원의 수신 신호 벡터들로 수신하는데 사용되는 상기 n 개의 안테나는 상기 임의의 개수의 수신 안테나의 서브세트인 통신 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 심벌들이 상기 수신기에서 정확히 수신되는 레이트는 상기 심벌들을 송신하는데 사용된 송신 안테나의 수 및 송신 전력의 레벨의 대수에 비례하여, 심벌들이 상기 송신기에서 송신되는 전력 레벨은 송신 안테나의 수를 비교적 적은 수만큼씩 증가시키므로서 실질적으로 감소하는 통신 시스템.
- 심벌들의 스트림의 소스와,복수의 송신기 안테나를 포함하는 무선 송신기에 있어서,상기 심벌 스트림을 m 개의 심벌들의 서브스트림들로 디멀티플렉스하고, 그 다음에 소정의 변조 기술을 이용하여 상기 송신기 안테나들 중 하나의 안테나를 통하여 각각의 심벌들의 서브스트림을 송신하는 송신 처리기를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 무선 송신기.
- 제 10항에 있어서, 상기 복수의 송신기 안테나는 m 보다 더 큰 개수의 안테나이며(m>1), 상기 m 개의 심벌들의 서브스트림에 사용된 상기 m 개의 송신기 안테나의 선택은 임의적인 무선 송신기.
- 제 10항에 있어서, 상기 송신기 안테나는 한 그룹의 심벌들을 송신하기 전에 임의로 변화하는 무선 송신기.
- 제 10항에 있어서,상기 상기 송신된 심벌을 수신하는 수신기와,상기 수신기로부터 상기 송신기로의 피드백 채널을 더 포함하고,상기 송신 처리기는 상기 수신기가 상기 피드백 채널을 통해 상기 송신기에 공급하는 신호 전파 환경에 의거하여 상기 송신기의 선택을 최적화하는 무선 송신기.
- 제 10항에 있어서, 상기 송신 심벌의 수신기로부터 상기 송신기로의 피드백 채널을 더 포함하고, 상기 송신기는 복수의 송신기 안테나의 서브세트를 통하여 벡터 심벌을 송신하고, 상기 서브세트는 상기 피드백 채널을 통하여 상기 수신기로부터 수신된 신호 전파 환경 정보에 의거하여 선택되는 무선 송신기.
- n(n>1) 개의 신호 성분들을 수신하여 수신된 신호 벡터를 형성하는 복수의 수신기 안테나를 포함하는 무선 수신기에 있어서,수신된 신호 벡터를 신호 벡터들의 버스트를 형성하는 다른 수신된 신호 벡터들과 함께 메모리에 기억하는 처리기와,상기 기억된 수신 신호 벡터를 처리하여 특정 판정 통계치에 대해 결정된 각각의 신호대 잡음비의 함수로서 결정된 순서로 송신 신호 벡터의 성분들을 결정하는 검출 처리기를 포함하여,(a) 처리된 송신 심벌 벡터 성분들로부터 발생하는 간섭이 현재 처리되고 있는 신호 벡터로부터 소거되고,(b) 아직 처리되지 않은 송신 심벌 벡터 성분들로부터 발생하는 간섭이 이 간섭이 차지하는 공간에 직교하는 신호 벡터를 투영하므로서 현재 처리되고 있는 신호 벡터로부터 제거되고, 그 다음에 소정의 변조 기술에 따라서 상기 투영된 신호 벡터를 처리하여 상기 송신 심벌 벡터의 성분들을 식별하는 것을 특징으로 하는 무선 수신기.
- 제 15항에 있어서, 상기 검출 처리기는 전송 환경을 특징짓는 데이터를 반복적으로 처리하여, 상기 송신 심벌 벡터의 상기 성분들을 검출하기 위해 최고의 신호대 잡음비(SNR)를 제공하는 m 개의 공간적으로 매치된 필터 벡터들의 세트를 발생하는 단계를 포함하는 무선 수신기.
- 제 15항에 있어서, 상기 송신된 심벌 벡터의 성분들을 검출하는 순서는 상기 검출 과정의 최소 신호대 잡음비를 최대화하는 무선 수신기.
