Abstract

Description
본 발명은 볼(cheeks)의 내부 면과 같은 입 안의 혀(舌) 및 다른 연성조직을 청결하게 세척하는 클렌저(cleanser)를 가진 구강 관리기구에 관한 것이다.
미국 치과의사협회에 따르면, 건강한 사람에게서 나는 입 냄새의 주 원인은 혀에 기거하는 퇴적된 미생물에 기인한다고 한다. 혀의 돌기형상의 유두로 인하여, 혀는 구강 박테리아가 퇴적되는데 바람직한 대형 면의 영역을 제공하는 독특한 생태 부위를 만들어 낸다. 혀에서 기거하는 혐기성 식물과 박테리아는 일반적으로 입 냄새로 불리는 악취를 발생한다. 일반적으로, 박테리아는 휘발성 황 혼합물(VSC: volatile sulfur compounds)을 생성한다. 황 혼합물이 상당히 퇴적되면, 구린내 또는 구강 악취를 낸다.
과거에는 혀 스크랩퍼(tongue scrapers)를 사용했으나, 스크랩퍼는 필요에 적절히 부합하지 못하는 것이다. 종래 스크랩퍼는 전형적으로 스크랩퍼의 폭에 비해서 길이가 긴 것이어서, 사용자에게 상해를 끼칠 위험이 있으며, 충분하지 않은 지지를 받고, 및/또는 그다지 유익하지 않은 형태로 이루어졌다. 따라서, 당 기술분야에서는 효과적으로 박테리아와 그외 다른 표적물을 제거할 수 있는 혀 클렌저를 갖춘 구강 관리기구가 필요하다.
본 발명은 구강 조직 면과 혀에 기거하는 박테리아 및 미세 표적물을 효과적으로 세척하여 제거하는 혀 클렌저를 갖춘 구강 관리기구를 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명의 1면에서, 혀 클렌저는 입 안의 혀 또는 다른 연성조직(soft tissue)과 관계하여 청결하게 세척하는 접촉영역을 가진 적어도 1개의 융기부(ridge)를 포함한다. 상기 접촉영역은 헤드에서 적어도 융기부의 높이 만큼의 크기를 갖는 융기부의 길이를 가로지르는 폭을 형성한다. 이렇게 하여, 사용자가 상해를 입을 수 있는 위험 가능성도 줄어들었다.

이하에 기술되는 설명에서, 본 발명은 칫솔의 견지에서 설명이 이루어지지만, 간단한 구강조직 세척기구를 포함하는 다른 형태의 구강 관리기구에도 해당 될 수 있는 것이다. 또한, 본 발명은 본원에 기재된 실시예 외의 다른 실시예에도 활용될 수 있으며, 구조 및 기능의 변경을 본 발명의 범위를 이탈하지 않고 이룰 수 있다.
본 발명에 따르는 구강 관리기구는 헤드(12)와 손잡이(14)로 이루어진 칫솔(10)로 설명된다. 도1에는 헤드에 손잡이를 연결한 것만을 도시했지만, 상기 손잡이는 양호하게 사용자가 잡을 수 있는 가늘고 긴 부재(elongate member)이다. 상기 손잡이(14)는 사용자의 치아 및/또는 혀를 세척하는데 필요한 조작을 하기에 적합한 공지된 형태이다.
양면으로 서로 반대편으로 있는 앞면(16)과 뒷면(17)을 가진 헤드(12)는, 다른 공지된 형태가 사용될 수 있는 것으로, 본원에서는 대략 직사각형의 형태인 것으로 나타냈다. 복수개의 치아 세척요소(20)는 헤드(12)의 앞면(16)에서 신장된다. 치아 세척요소는 칫솔모이며 및/또는 다양한 형태와 크기의 엘라스토머 부재이다. 상기 세척요소(20)는 사용자의 치아를 닦는데 적절한 임의적인 형태 또는 조합하여 사용된다. 헤드(12)의 뒷면(17)은 적어도 1개의 융기부, 바람직하게는 복수개의 가늘고 긴 융기부(22)를 포함하여 혀와 입 안의 다른 연성조직(예, 볼의 내부면)을 세척한다. 융기부는 양호하게 치아 세척요소도 설치된 헤드에 형성되지만, 칫솔의 다른 기능부 또는 다른 부분에 형성될 수도 있다. 기구의 헤드는 단지 간단히 혀를 세척하기 위해 입 안으로 삽입되는 기구의 작동부인 것을 의미하며, 헤드의 특정 형태와 구성을 언급한 것은 아니다.

적어도 2개의 직선형 융기부는 헤드의 전방단부에 배치되고, 적어도 2개의 서로 평행하지 않은 융기부는 2개의 직선형 융기부와 연속형 융기부와의 사이에 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리기구. - 제1항에 있어서, 헤드, 손잡이, 복수개의 융기부는 단일 부재로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리기구.
- 손잡이와 헤드를 포함하는 구강 관리기구에서, 상기 헤드는:
제1면과;
제1면과 반대편의 제2면과;
제1면으로부터 외향하여 돌출되는 복수개의 가늘고 긴 융기부와;
제2면으로부터 외향하여 돌출되는 복수개의 치아 세척요소를 포함하며;
상기 융기부 중의 적어도 1개는 입 안의 연성조직과 접촉하여 세척하는 접촉 영역을 형성하는 제1면으로부터 먼거리에 위치한 말단부를 갖고, 상기 접촉 영역은 융기부를 가로질러 신장하는 폭과 제1면으로부터 말단부까지 신장되는 높이를 갖고, 상기 폭은 적어도 상기 높이와 같으며;
복수개의 융기부는 부가로 적어도 2개의 구부러진 융기부를 포함하며, 각각의 구부러진 융기부는, 융기부가 손잡이로부터 먼거리에 위치하는 것일수록 점진적으로 넓어지는 곡률을 갖고, 상기 복수개의 융기부는 적어도 1개의 직선형 및 비-직선형 융기부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리기구.
