Claims (11)
- 화상의 픽셀에 대응하는 복수의 발광 요소를 갖는 디스플레이 디바이스(16) 상의 디스플레이를 위해 비디오 데이터를 처리하는 방법으로서, 비디오 프레임 또는 필드의 시간은 복수의 서브-필드로 나누어지고, 그 동안 상기 발광 요소는 픽셀을 조명하는 p 가능한 비디오 레벨을 인코딩하는데 사용된 n 비트의 서브-필드 코드워드에 대응하는 작은 펄스에서 광 방출을 위해 활성화될 수 있고,- 제 1 인코딩 방법(5)을 이용하여 화상의 제 1 부분을 인코딩하는 단계(12, 13)로서, 픽셀을 조명하기 위해 가능한 비디오 레벨 세트 중에서, n<m<p인 m 비디오 레벨의 서브셋이 선택되고, 이것은 광 생성을 위해 사용되고, 상기 m 값은, 대응하는 서브-필드 코드워드의 광 생성을 위해 시간적 무게 중심(CG1, CG2, CG3)이 비디오 레벨에 따라 연속적으로 증가한다는 규칙에 따라 선택되는, 인코딩 단계(12, 13)를포함하는, 비디오 데이터 처리 방법에 있어서,- 미리 결정된 기준에 기초하여 상기 화상의 상기 제 1 부분을 선택하는 단계와;- 상기 제 1 인코딩 방법(5)과 상이한 제 2 인코딩 방법(6)을 이용하여 상기 화상의 상기 제 1 부분과 상이한 적어도 하나의 제 2 부분을 인코딩하는 단계(12, 13)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는,비디오 데이터 처리 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 부분에 대한 선택 기준은, 미리 결정된 최소 크기보다 더 큰 크기를 갖는 균일한 영역인, 비디오 데이터 처리 방법.
- 제 2항에 있어서, 상기 균일한 영역은 미리 결정된 텍스처를 갖는, 비디오 데이터 처리 방법.
- 제 2항 또는 제 3항에 있어서, 상기 균일한 영역은 미리 결정된 칼라를 갖는, 비디오 데이터 처리 방법.
- 제 4항에 있어서, 상기 미리 결정된 칼라는 칼라 공간 다이어그램의 위상각(Ph) 및 진폭(Am)에 의해 결정된 피부 칼라인, 비디오 데이터 처리 방법.
- 제 4항에 있어서, 상기 미리 결정된 칼라는 그레이 색조인, 비디오 데이터 처리 방법.
- 제 1항 내지 제 3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,한 영역에서, 상기 영역의 비틀림(skewness)이 최소 비틀림보다 더 크고, 상기 영역의 첨도(kurtosis)가 최소 첨도보다 더 큰 경우, 제 2 인코딩 방법만이 사용되는, 비디오 데이터 처리 방법.
- 화상의 픽셀에 대응하는 복수의 발광 요소를 갖는 디스플레이 디바이스(16) 상의 디스플레이를 위해 비디오 데이터를 처리하는 디바이스로서, 비디오 프레임 또는 필드의 시간은 복수의 서브-필드(SF)로 나누어지고, 그 동안 상기 발광 요소는 픽셀을 조명하는 p 가능한 비디오 레벨을 인코딩하는데 사용된 n 비트의 서브-필드 코드워드에 대응하는 작은 펄스에서 광 방출을 위해 활성화될 수 있고,- 제 1 인코딩 방법(5)을 이용하여 화상의 제 1 부분을 인코딩하는 인코딩 수단(12, 13)으로서, 픽셀을 조명하기 위해 미리 주어진 가능한 비디오 레벨 세트 중에서, n<m<p인 m 비디오 레벨의 서브셋이 선택되고, 이것은 광 생성을 위해 사용되고, 상기 m 값은, 대응하는 서브-필드 코드워드의 광 생성을 위해 시간적 무게 중심(CG1, CG2, CG3)이 비디오 레벨에 따라 연속적으로 증가한다는 규칙에 따라 선택되는, 인코딩 수단(12, 13)을포함하는, 비디오 데이터 처리 디바이스에 있어서,- 미리 결정된 기준에 기초하여 상기 화상의 상기 제 1 부분을 선택하기 위해 상기 인코딩 수단(12, 13)에 연결된 선택 수단을 포함하고,- 상기 인코딩 수단(12, 13)은, 상기 제 1 인코딩 방법(5)과 상이한 제 2 인코딩 방법(6)을 이용하여 상기 화상의 상기 제 1 부분과 상이한 적어도 하나의 제 2 부분을 인코딩하기 위해 적응되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 비디오 데이터 처리 디바이스.
- 제 8항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 부분에 대한 선택 기준은 미리 결정된 최소 크기보다 더 큰 크기를 갖는 균일한 영역인, 비디오 데이터 처리 디바이스.
- 제 9항에 있어서, 상기 균일한 영역은 미리 결정된 칼라를 갖는, 비디오 데이터 처리 디바이스.
- 제 8항 내지 제 10항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,한 영역에서, 상기 영역의 비틀림이 최소 비틀림보다 더 크고 상기 영역의 첨도가 최소 첨도보다 더 큰 경우, 제 2 인코딩 방법만이 사용되는, 비디오 데이터 처리 디바이스.
