본 발명에 의한 히비스커스 유기산을 함유한 제형의 보습력을 알아보기 위하여 제조된 실시예 1~4와 비교예 1~4의 수분보유능 평가를 실시하였다. 수분보유능 측정은 Corneometer (Courage + Khazaka, GmbH, Germany)를 사용하여 피부 표면의 전기 전도도를 측정하였으며 측정온도는 25℃, 40% 상대습도를 유지하는 항온항습실에서 실시예와 비교예의 시료를 이용하여 세안 후 30분, 1시간 후의 수분손실량(g/hm2)을 측정하였다. 피시험자는 20명으로 하여 3회 측정한 결과를 다음 표 6에 나타내었다. 상기한 실험예 2에서 보는 바와 같이, 히비스커스 유기산을 함유한 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 화장료를 도포하였을 경우 피부의 보습력이 젖산보다 수분 손실량이 대략 7~9% 감소됨을 확인하였다.
