Abstract
Description
소위 유휴 모드에서, 가입자 유니트는 가입자 유니트가 기지국과 동기화를 유지하기에 충분히 빠를 정도로만 필요한 데이터 레이트로 역방향 링크 유지(53) 채널을 통해 동기화 "핵심(heartbeat)" 신호, 파일럿 신호 또는 메시지를 송신한다. 상기 신호의 지속시간은 채널이 여전히 요구될 수 있는 최대의 지연에 기초하여, 요구 표시가 전송될 필요가 있는 레이트에 의해, 및/또는 요구된 전력 제어 레이트에 의해, 기지국에 있는 수신기 내의 코드 위상 로킹 회로의 저장(capture) 또는 로킹(locking) 범위를 포함하여, 다수의 인자들을 고려하여 결정된다.
따라서 본 발명은 필드 유니트(24)의 출력 전력이 트래픽 채널들을 단지 오프만 시키는 출력 전력보다 많이 감소될 수 있도록 BTS(20)에서 유지되는 전력 제어 세트포인트들이 게이트 기간들동안 변경하도록 한다.
Claims (14)
- 가입자 유니트에 있어서,상기 가입자 유니트 및 역방향 채널의 타임 슬롯들의 수와 고유하게 연관된 식별자에 모듈로(modulo) 함수를 적용함으로써 상기 역방향 채널의 대응되는 타임 슬롯을 결정하도록 구성된 프로세서; 및유휴(idle) 상태에서 상기 역방향 채널의 대응되는 타임 슬롯으로 동기화 메시지를 송신하도록 구성된 송신기를 포함하는 가입자 유니트.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 식별자는 유니트 일련번호인 것인 가입자 유니트.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 식별자는 매체 액세스 제어 계층 식별자(MAC_ID; Medium Access Control layer identifier)인 것인 가입자 유니트.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 역방향 채널은 유지 채널인 것인 가입자 유니트.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 역방향 채널은 코드 분할 다중 액세스(CDMA; Code Division Multiple Access) 채널인 것인 가입자 유니트.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 송신기는 제어된 전력 레벨들로 동기화 메시지들을 송신하도록 구성된 것인 가입자 유니트.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 송신기는 활성(active) 상태에서의 데이터 메시지들의 송신보다 더 낮은 전력 레벨로 유휴(idle) 상태에서 동기화 메시지들을 송신하도록 구성된 것인 가입자 유니트.
- 제1항에 있어서,유휴 전력 레벨을 표시하는 전력 제어 메시지들을 수신하도록 구성된 수신기를 더 포함하고,상기 송신기는 유휴 상태에 있을 때 상기 표시된 유휴 전력 레벨로 동기화 메시지들을 송신하도록 구성된 것인가입자 유니트.
- 제8항에 있어서,상기 수신기는 활성 전력 레벨을 표시하는 전력 제어 메시지들을 수신하도록 구성된 것이고,상기 송신기는 활성 상태에 있을 때 상기 표시된 활성 전력 레벨로 데이터 메시지들을 송신하도록 구성된 것인가입자 유니트.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 송신기는 상기 수신된 전력 제어 메시지들에 표시된 전력 레벨들과는 관계 없이, 상기 유휴 상태에서 유휴 전력 레벨로 동기화 메시지들을 송신하고, 상기 활성 상태에서 활성 전력 레벨로 데이터 메시지들을 송신하도록 구성된 것인 가입자 유니트.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 표시된 전력 레벨은 데시벨(decibel)로 표현되는 것인 가입자 유니트.
- 제1항에 있어서, 타임 슬롯은 CDMA 2000 시스템에서 게이팅된 주기(gated period)인 것인 가입자 유니트.
- 제1항에 있어서, 타임 슬롯은 프레임 오프셋인 것인 가입자 유니트.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 프로세서는 상기 가입자 유니트로부터 수신된 메시지로부터 상기 가입자 유니트에서의 상태 변경을 결정하도록 구성된 것이고,상기 송신기는 상기 상태 변경에 대응되는 목표(target) 전력 레벨을 표시하는 전력 제어 메시지를 송신하도록 구성된 것인가입자 유니트.
