Abstract
"MéTODO PARA MANTER UMA CONEXãO DE MODALIDADE INATIVA ENTRE UMA UNIDADE DE CAMPO E UMA ESTAçãO TRANSMISSORA-RECEPTORA DE BASE". Em uma ligação inversa (50) de um sistema de comunicações de CDMA sem-fio (10), proporciona-se um método para manter uma conexão de modalidade inativa entre uma unidade de campo (24) e uma estação transmissora-receptora de base (18), utilizando-se várias técnicas para se manter uma conexão de modalidade inativa sob um nível de potência reduzida. Uma concretização preferida promove o cómputo de uma divisão de tempo ou deslocamento de estrutura, com base em uma função de módulo que utiliza um identificador de unidade de tempo (62), a fim de distribuir transmissões de manutenção de unidade de campo entre as pistas ou deslocamentos disponíveis. Uma concretização alternativa detecta alterações de estados de sinalização explícitos na camada física e provoca alterações do objetivo de potência. Uma outra concretização transmite dados de manutenção durante intervalos de tempo predeterminados, coordenados entre as unidades de campo (24) e BTS (18), permitindo que os níveis de potência sejam ajustados de uma maneira correspondente.
