Claims (10)
- RGBW(적녹청백)의 파장 분포 특성을 포함하는 화소를 평면 배치하는 표시 장치로서,입력된 입력 신호에 기초하여, W 신호의 선택 신호를 생성하는 W 생성 선택 신호 회로와,상기 선택 신호에 기초하여, 미리 정해진 적어도 1종류의 W 신호의 산출 방법으로부터 하나의 산출 방법을 선택하는 W 생성 회로와,선택된 상기 산출 방법에 기초하여 산출된 W 신호에, 미리 검지된 표시 장치의 외부 환경의 밝기 정보를 이용하여 W 신호의 보정을 행하는 보정 회로와,W 신호의 보정이 된 RGBW 신호로부터 백라이트 구동 신호를 산출하는 백라이트 변조 회로를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 보정 회로는, 선택된 상기 산출 방법에 기초하여 산출된 W 신호에, 상기 밝기 정보로부터 산출된 W 화소의 이용률을 결정하는 보정 계수를 이용하여 W 신호의 보정을 행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 W 생성 회로에서 선택된 상기 산출 방법에 기초하여 산출된 W 신호를 포함하는 RGBW 신호의 밝기 또는 표시 휘도의 비율을 균일화하는 균일화 회로를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,투과율을 제어하는 액정 소자와, RGBW의 파장 분포 특성을 포함하는 컬러 필터를 갖는 액정 패널과,상기 액정 패널에 광을 조사하는 백라이트를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 표시 장치의 외부 환경의 밝기 정보를 검지하는 센서를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
