Abstract
Description
Claims (17)
- 제1기판 및 제2기판;상기 제1기판 상에 종횡으로 형성되어 화소영역을 정의하는 복수개의 게이트배선 및 데이터배선;상기 화소영역 내에 형성되며, 상기 화소영역을 복수의 도메인으로 분할하도록 전계유도창이 그 내부에 형성되어 있는 화소전극;상기 게이트 배선 또는 데이터 배선과 동일 층에 형성되며, 상기 화소전극의 둘레 및 전계유도창에 대응되는 영역에 형성된 보조전극;상기 제2기판 상에 형성된 차광층;상기 차광층 위에 형성된 컬러필터층;상기 컬러필터층 위에 형성된 공통전극;상기 공통전극 위에 형성되며, 상기 복수의 도메인 영역 각각에 형성된 원형의 유전체 구조물; 및상기 제1기판 및 제2기판 사이에 형성된 액정층을 포함하는 멀티도메인 액정표시소자.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 화소전극은 상기 보조전극과 소정부분 오버랩 되도록 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티도메인 액정표시소자.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 화소전극은 상기 보조전극과 오버랩 되지 않도록 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티도메인 액정표시소자.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 보조전극은 게이트배선과 동일층에 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티도메인 액정표시소자.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 보조전극은 데이터배선과 동일층에 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티도메인 액정표시소자.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 차광층은 상기 보조전극과 오버랩 되도록 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티도메인 액정표시소자.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 화소전극과 연결되는 스토리지 전극이 화소전극 아래에 추가로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티도메인 액정표시소자.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 액정은 VA(Vertical Alignment) 액정에 카이랄 도펀트가 포함되어 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티도메인 액정표시소자.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 게이트배선과 데이터배선의 교차점에 박막트랜지스터가 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티도메인 액정표시소자.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 보조전극은 ITO(indium tin oxide), Al, Mo, Cr, Ta, Ti, 및 Al합금으로 이루어진 군에서 선택된 어느 하나의 물질로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티도메인 액정표시소자.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 유전체 구조물의 유전율이 상기 액정의 유전율보다 작은 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티도메인 액정표시소자.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 유전체 구조물이 감광성물질로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티도메 인 액정표시소자.
- 제 12항에 있어서,상기 유전체 구조물이 아크릴수지(photoacrylate), 또는 BCB(BenzoCycloButene)으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티도메인 액정표시소자.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제1기판 및 제2기판 중 적어도 하나의 기판에 배향막이 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티도메인 액정표시소자.
- 제 14항에 있어서,상기 배향막은 러빙법, 또는 광배향법에 의해 배향처리된 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티도메인 액정표시소자.
- 제 14항에 있어서,상기 배향막은 배향처리 되지 않은 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티도메인 액정표시소자.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제1기판 및 제2기판 중 적어도 하나의 기판에 위상차필름이 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티도메인 액정표시소자.
