Claims (3)
- 화상을 투사하여 표시하는 투사형 표시장치로서,조명광을 사출하는 조명 광학계와,광조사면에 조사된 광의 사출방향을 화상정보에 따라서 제어함으로써, 광을 변조하는 광변조장치와,상기 광변조장치로부터 사출된 광을 투사하는 투사 광학계와,상기 광변조장치와 상기 투사 광학계의 사이에 설치된 프리즘을 구비하고,상기 광조사면에 수직인 축을 z축으로 하고, 상기 z축에 수직으로 서로 직교하는 축을 각각 x축 및 y축으로 하였을 때, 상기 광변조장치의 광조사면은 상기 x축과 상기 y축에 의하여 형성되는 xy 평면에 평행하고,상기 프리즘은,상기 조명 광학계로부터 사출되어 입사하는 조명광을 반사하여 상기 광조사면에 소정의 각도로 입사시키는 동시에, 상기 광변조장치로부터 사출된 광을 투과하여 상기 투사 광학계쪽으로 사출하는 선택 반사 투과면을 가지며,상기 선택 반사 투과면은,상기 xy 평면상에 상기 조명광의 광로를 투영하였을 때에, 상기 조명 광학계로부터 사출되어 상기 선택 반사 투과면에 입사하는 조명광의 중심축의 상기 x축에 평행한 축에 대한 기울기와, 상기 선택 반사 투과면에서 반사되어 상기 광조사면에 입사하는 조명광의 중심축의 상기 x축에 평행한 축에 대한 기울기가 다르도록 배치되는, 투사형 표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 광 조사면은, 거의 직사각형상의 윤곽을 가지고 있고,상기 광 조사면에 평행한 평면상에 상기 조명광의 광로를 투영하였을 때에, 상기 선택 반사 투과면에서 반사되어 상기 광 조사면에 입사하는 조명광의 중심축은, 상기 광 조사면의 윤곽의 변에 대하여 약 45도의 기울기를 가지고 있는, 투사형 표시 장치.
- 제 1 측면으로부터의 입사광을 반사하여 제 2 측면으로부터 반사광으로서 사출하는 동시에, 상기 제 2 측면으로부터의 입사광을 투과하여 제 3 측면으로부터 사출하는 선택 반사 투과면을 가지는 프리즘으로서,상기 제 1 측면은 상기 제 1 측면으로부터의 입사광의 중심축에 대하여 수직이고,상기 제 2 측면은 서로 직교하는 x축과 y축에 의하여 형성되는 xy 평면에 평행하며,상기 광선택 반사 투과면은, 상기 입사광 및 상기 반사광의 광로를 상기 xy 평면상에 투영하였을 때, 상기 제 1 측면으로부터의 입사광의 중심축의 상기 x축에 평행한 축에 대한 기울기와, 상기 반사광의 중심축의 상기 x축에 평행한 축에 대한 기울기가 다르도록, 상기 제 1 측면으로부터의 입사광을 반사하기 위해서, 상기 제 1 측면으로부터의 입사광의 중심축에 대하여 소정의 각도가 되도록 배치되는, 프리즘.
