Description
Claims (11)
- 소정 거리를 두고 대향 배치된 하부기판 및 상부기판;상기 상하부 기판 사이에 협지되며 유전율 이방성이 음인 액정들로 구성된 액정층;상기 하부기판의 내측면 상에 형성된 화소전극;상기 상부기판의 내측면 상에 형성되며 V자 홈을 구비한 컬러 레진층;상기 V자 홈을 포함한 컬러 레진층 상에 형성된 상대전극;상기 상대전극을 포함한 상부기판의 내측면 전 영역에 평탄화 편차가 0.5㎛ 이하가 되도록 1㎛ 이상의 두께로 도포된 평탄화용 오버 코팅층;상기 화소전극과 액정층 사이 및 상기 상대전극과 액정층 사이에 각각 개재된 수직 배향막; 및상기 하부기판과 상부기판의 외측면 각각에 편광축이 상호 교차하도록 부착된 편광판을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 수직배향 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 V자 홈은 단위 화소를 적어도 2개 이상의 영역으로 분할하도록 구비된 것을 특징으로 하는 수직배향 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 V자 홈은중심부 각도가 40∼50°인 지그-재그(jig-jag) 형상으로 구비된 것을 특징으로 하는 수직배향 모드 액정표시장치.
- 삭제
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 화소전극은 슬릿 구조로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 수직배향 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 하부기판과 화소전극 사이에 돌기가 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 수직배향 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 하부 편광판과 하부기판 사이 및 상부기판과 상부 편광판 사이에 설치된 위상 보상판을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 수직배향 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 상기 위상 보상판은 일축 또는 이축 위상 보상판이며, 상기 일축 위상 보상판의 경우에는 위상지연값이 40∼800㎚ 영역을 포함하고, 이축 위상 보상판의 경우에는 위상지연값이 150∼250㎚의 영역을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 수직배향 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 액정층의 두께는 2∼6㎛인 것을 특징으로 하는 수직배향 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 액정의 유전율 이방성이 -2∼-10인 것을 특징으로 하는 수직배향 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 액정층의 두께와 액정의 굴절율 이방성의 곱이 200∼500㎚인 것을 특징으로 하는 수직배향 모드 액정표시장치.
