Claims (11)
- 기지국 시스템 내의 기지 트랜시버국들과 이동국들 사이에 양방향 트래픽이 소정의 채널들상의 타임 슬롯들에서 발생하는 시분할 다중접속 시스템에서 패킷 무선 서비스와 회선 교환 서비스간에 무선 용량의 동적 분할을 위한 방법에 있어서,기본 모드에서, 상기 기지국 시스템이 상기 채널들 상의 제1 소정수의 타임 슬롯들을 패킷 무선 서비스용으로 할당하고, 제2 소정수의 타임 슬롯들을 회선 교환 서비스용으로 할당하고,소정의 개시의 발생시에, 상기 기지국 시스템은 하나 또는 그 이상의 부가적인 자유 타임 슬롯/슬롯들을 패킷 무선 서비스 및/또는 회선 교환 서비스로 할당되며,상기 개시는 다음 사항들; 새로운 패킷 무선 접속이 설정되는 것; 기존의 패킷 무선 접속이 종료되는 것; 새로운 패킷 무선 세션이 설정되는 것; 기존의 패킷 무선 세션이 종료되는 것; 어떤 이동국에 관련한 핸드오버가 수행되는 것; 기지 트랜시버국에서 수행되는 트래픽 측정시 어떤 임계값에 도달되는 것 중 하나임을,특징으로 하는 무선 용량의 동적 분할을 위한 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1 수의 타임 슬롯들은 회선 교환 서비스가 용량을 요구하지 않을 경우에는 한 채널의 모든 데이타 전송 타임 슬롯들을 구성하며, 어떠한 타임 슬롯도 회선 교환 서비스용으로 예약되지 않지만, 소정의 개시의 발생시에 하나 또는 다중의 자유 타임 슬롯/슬롯들이 회선 교환 서비스로 할당되는 것을 특징으로 하는 무선 용량의 동적 분할을 위한 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1 수의 타임 슬롯들은 소정 최소수의 타임 슬롯들을 구비하고, 이 경우에는, 상기 개시의 발생시에, 하나의 자유 타임 슬롯이 먼저 패킷 무선 서비스로 할당되고, 다음의 패킷의 할당 동안에 필요한 수의 부가적인 타임 슬롯들이 할당되는 것을 특징으로 하는 무선 용량의 동적 분할을 위한 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 최소수는 조정가능하며, 이 경우에 그 수는 트래픽 및/또는 트래픽 경제의 요소들(factors of traffic economy)에 기반하여 조정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 무선 용량의 동적 분할을 위한 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 소정의 제1 수의 타임 슬롯들은 0(제로)이며, 이 경우에 이동국은, 패킷 무선 서비스 용량에 액세스하기 위해 기지 트랜시버국에 요청을 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 무선 용량의 동적 분할을 위한 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 소정의 개시의 발생은 구체적으로는 어떤 임계값이 기지 트랜시버국에서 수행된 트래픽 측정에서 얻어진다는 것을 의미하며,관련된 서비스의 트래픽이 소정의 제1 임계값을 초과하여 증가할 경우에는, 하나 또는 그 이상의 부가적인 타임 슬롯/슬롯들이 상기 서비스로 할당되며, 관련된 서비스의 트래픽이 소정의 제2 임계값 미만으로 감소할 경우에는, 대응하는 수의 타임 슬롯들이 상기 서비스로부터 해제되는 것을 특징으로 하는 무선 용량의 동적 분할을 위한 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 관련된 서비스는 패킷 무선 서비스이며, 부가적인 타임 슬롯들은, 필요할 경우에, 다중 채널들로부터 할당되는 것을 특징으로 하는 무선 용량의 동적 분할을 위한 방법.
- 제7항 또는 제8항에 있어서, 제1 임계값 및 제2 임계값중 적어도 하나의 결정은 트래픽 거동의 장기간 측정에 기반하고, 그리고/또는 임계값들중 적어도 하나는 특정한 시간 기간에 걸친 트래픽 측정 결과에 기반하여 조정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 무선 용량의 동적 분할을 위한 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 방법은 주파수 분할 다중접속(FDMA) 대역들에도 마찬가지로 적용되며, 그 경우에는 FDMA 대역들이 상기 타임 슬롯들과 동일하게 취급되는 것을 특징으로 하는 무선 용량의 동적 분할을 위한 방법.
- 이동국들 뿐만 아니라, 기지 트랜시버국들 및 기지국 제어기들을 가지는 기지국 시스템(BSS)를 구비하고; 기지 트랜시버국들과 이동국들 사이에서 소정의 채널들상의 타임 슬롯들에서의 양방향 트래픽을 다룰 수 있으며; 패킷 무선 서비스및 회선 교환 서비스를 제공할 수 있는, 시분할 다중접속(TDMA) 이동 전기통신 시스템에 있어서,패킷 무선 서비스 및 회선 교환 서비스 사이의 무선 용량의 동적 분할을 위해서,기지국 시스템(BSS)의 기본 모드는 패킷 무선 서비스를 위한 소정의 제1 수의 타임 슬롯들의 예약 및 회선 교환 서비스를 위한 소정의 제2 수의 타임 슬롯들의 예약을 구비하며,기지국 시스템은 각각의 서비스를 위해 요구되는 용량을 감시하기 위한 수단을 구비하고, 그리고기지국 시스템(BSS)의 동작은 동적 분할 상태(dynamic division phase)를 구비하며, 그 상태에서는, 소정의 개시의 발생 시에 기지국 시스템이 하나 또는 그 이상의 부가적인 자유 타임 슬롯/슬롯들을 패킷 무선 서비스 및/또는 회선 교환 서비스로 할당하고, 상기 개시는 다음 사항들: 새로운 패킷 무선 접속이 설정되고, 기존의 패킷 무선 접속이 종료되고, 새로운 패킷 무선 세션이 설정되고, 기존의 패킷 무선 세션이 종료되고, 어떤 이동국에 관련한 핸드오버가 수행되거나, 기지 트랜시버국에서 수행된 트래픽 측정에서 어떤 임계값이 얻어지는 사항들 중 하나인 것을 특징으로 하는 시분할 다중접속 이동 전기통신 시스템.
- 제10항에 있어서, 기지국 시스템은 패킷 무선 서비스 및 회선 교환 서비스 사이의 무선 용량의 분할에 관한 정보를 이동국으로 전송하도록 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시분할 다중접속 이동 전기통신 시스템.
