Abstract

PURPOSE: An automatic train protection stop device for controlling a railroad using a data communication is provided to improve the security and reliability by using the data communication in a non-power supply manner. CONSTITUTION: A device(1) mounted on a train is comprised of a main device(2), an antenna(3) mounted on the train, a rotational speed detector(4), a running information display(5), an operational switch(6), a train controller(7), and a communication module(8). The main device(2) is comprised of a plurality of circuits implementing an ATS(Automatic Train Stop) function and an ATP(Automatic Train Protection) function. The rotational speed detector(4) is connected to a shaft of a wheel. The running information display(5) provides speed information, ground information, and running information to a driver. The operational switch(6) selects a running mode. The train controller(7) controls a brake of the train. The communication module(8) transmits the ground information and information for the train to an integrated control system and receives a radio command. A ground box(10) is comprised of a K-Balise(12) and a programer(13). The K-Balise(12) transmits the ground information by using an ATS ground box(11) and a narrow bandwidth data communication. The programer(13) inputs ground information data to the K-Balise(12).
