前記式(1)で表わされる化合物が、下記式(2)で表わされる化合物であることが好ましい。
本発明の非水電解質二次電池用樹脂膜の製造方法の第一の態様としては、前記溶媒が、前記フッ化ビニリデン系共重合体の良溶媒と、貧溶媒との混合溶媒である。
本発明に用いられるフッ化ビニリデン系共重合体は、フッ化ビニリデンと、下記式(1)で表わされる化合物とを共重合して得られる。
本発明に用いられるフッ化ビニリデン系共重合体は、フッ化ビニリデン由来の構成単位と、前記式(1)で表わされる化合物由来の構成単位とを有する重合体である。また、さらに他のモノマーに由来する構成単位を有していてもよい。
前記式(1)、(2)において、前記R1、R2、R3は、それぞれ独立に水素原子、塩素原子または炭素数1〜5のアルキル基であるが、重合反応性の観点から、特にR1、R2は立体障害の小さな置換基であることが望まれ、水素または炭素数1〜3のアルキル基が好ましく、水素またはメチル基であることがより好ましい。
ここでηは重合体溶液の粘度、η0は溶媒のN,N−ジメチルホルムアミド単独の粘度、Cは0.4g/dlである。
上記式(I)において、A1700-1800は1700〜1800cm-1の範囲に検出されるカルボニル基の伸縮振動に由来の吸光度であり、A3023は3023cm-1付近に検出されるCHの伸縮振動に由来の吸光度である。ARはフッ化ビニリデン系共重合体中のカルボニル基の存在量を示す尺度となる。
本発明に用いられる溶媒は、本発明の非水電解質二次電池用樹脂膜の製造方法が、後述の第一の態様である場合と、第二の態様である場合とで異なる。
本発明に用いられる樹脂組成物は、前記フッ化ビニリデン系共重合体、および溶媒を含む。
前記樹脂組成物が塗布されるセパレータとしては、特に限定はない。
本発明の非水電解質二次電池用樹脂膜の製造方法は、フッ化ビニリデンと、式(1)で表わされる化合物とを共重合して得られるフッ化ビニリデン系共重合体、および溶媒を含む樹脂組成物を、セパレータに塗布する工程(塗布工程)および、樹脂組成物が塗布されたセパレータを乾燥する工程(乾燥工程)を有する。
本発明の非水電解質二次電池用樹脂膜は、前述の非水電解質二次電池用樹脂膜の製造方法によって得られる。
以下、本発明の非水電解質二次電池用樹脂膜を有する非水電解質二次電池について説明する。
(フッ化ビニリデン‐ヘキサフルオロプロピレン‐アクリロイロキシエチルコハク酸共重合体の製造)
内容量2リットルのオートクレープに、イオン交換水を1040g、セルロース系懸濁剤としてメトローズSM−100(信越化学工業(株)製)を0.6g、アクリロイロキシエチルコハク酸を0.4g、50wt%ジイソプロピルペルオキシジカーボネート一フロン225cb溶液を3.6g、酢酸エチル0.4g、フッ化ビニリデン360g、ヘキサフルオロプロピレン40gを仕込み、29℃まで1時間で昇温した。

重合体のフッ化ビニリデンに由来する構成単位とアクリロイロキシエチルコハク酸に由来する構成単位の比を、1H NMRスペクトルで、主としてアクリロイロキシエチルコハク酸に由来する4.18ppmに観察されるシグナルと、主としてフッ化ビニリデンに由来する2.23ppmおよび2.87ppmに観察されるシグナルとの積分強度に基づき算出した。

19F NMRスペクトルで重合体中の、−91〜118ppmに観察されるCF2構造と、−71ppm付近に観察されるCF3構造との、Fのピーク強度(積分値)の比率から、重合体中に存在するフッ化ビニリデンと、ヘキサフルオロプロピレンとの存在比を算出した。
前記フッ化ビニリデン‐ヘキサフルオロプロピレン‐アクリロイロキシエチルコハク酸共重合体4.0重量部をメチルエチルケトン75重量部、水10重量部、N−メチル−2−ピロリドン15重量部に40℃で溶解させセパレータ用コーティング液を得た。

内容量2リットルのオートクレーブに、イオン交換水を900g、セルロース系懸濁剤としてメトローズ90SH−100(信越化学工業(株)製)を0.4g、カルボキシエチルアクリレートを0.2g、50wt%t‐ブチルペルオキシピバレート−フロン225cb溶液を2.0g、フッ化ビニリデン396gを仕込み、50℃まで2時間で昇温した。
フッ化ビニリデン‐カルボキシエチルアクリレート共重合体4重量部N−メチル−2−ピロリドン100重量部に溶解させセパレータ用コーティング液を得た。
(樹脂膜の製造)
前記実施例1で得られたフッ化ビニリデン−ヘキサフルオロプロピレン−アクリロイロキシエチルコハク酸共重合体の重合体4重量部をN−メチル−2−ピロリドン96重量部に溶解させ、セパレータ用コーティング液を得た。
コバルト酸リチウム(セルシード C5 日本化学工業製)、導電助剤(SuperP TIMCAL製)、PVDF(ポリフッ化ビニリデン)(KF#1100 クレハ製)をそれぞれ重量比93:3:4となるよう固形分濃度69wt%のN−メチル−2−ピロリドン溶媒スラリーを作製した。115μmのスペーサーを用いてAl箔(厚さ15μm)に該スラリーをコート後、120℃で3時間乾燥し、その後プレスしてスラリーをコート、乾燥することにより得られた層の嵩密度が3.6[g/cm3]であり、目付け量が150[g/m2]である正極を得た。
BTR918(改質天然黒鉛 BTR製)、導電助剤(SuperP TIMCAL製)、SBR(スチレンブタジエンゴムラテックス BM−400 日本ゼオン製)、CMC(カルボキシメチルセルロース セロゲン4H 第一工業製薬)をそれぞれ重量比90:2:3:1となるよう固形分濃度53wt%の水溶媒スラリーを作製した。90μmのスペーサーを用いてCu箔(厚さ10μm)に該スラリーをコート後、120℃で3時間乾燥し、その後プレスしてスラリーをコート、乾燥することにより得られた層の嵩密度が1.5[g/cm3]であり、目付け量が56[g/m2]である負極を得た。
前記得られた正極、負極を2.5×5.0cm、樹脂膜が形成されたセパレータを3.0×6.0cmに切ってそれぞれ接合させ、電解液(エチレンカーボネート(EC)/エチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)=3/7、LiPF6 1.2M)を浸み込ませてAlラミネートセル中に真空脱気封入した。
得られた樹脂膜が形成されたセパレータ/正極、樹脂膜が形成されたセパレータ/負極界面の剥離強度をそれぞれ正極、負極を固定しセパレータを180°で引張りテンシロン万能試験機(株式会社エーアンドディー製)を用いて測定した。得られた剥離強度測定結果を表1に示す。
BTR918(改質天然黒鉛 BTR製)、導電助剤(SuperP TIMCAL製)、PVDF(KF#9100 クレハ製)をそれぞれ重量比90:2:8となるよう固形分濃度58wt%の水溶媒スラリーを作製した。80μmのスペーサーを用いてCu箔に該スラリーをコート後、120℃で3時間乾燥し、その後プレスしてスラリーをコート、乾燥することにより得られた層の嵩密度が1.5[g/cm3]であり、目付け量57[g/m2]である負極を得た。
内容量2リットルのオートクレーブに、イオン交換水1075g、メチルセルロース0.42g、ジイソプロピルパーオキシジカーボネート2.9g、フッ化ビニリデン378g、ヘキサフルオロプロピレン42gを仕込み、29℃で10時間重合した。
フッ化ビニリデン−ヘキサフルオロプロピレン−アクリロイロキシエチルコハク酸共重合体に変えて前記フッ化ビニリデン−ヘキサフルオロプロピレン共重合体を用いたことを除いて実施例3と同様に樹脂膜を得た。得られた樹脂膜部分の厚さは、片面当たり3μmであった。
前記フッ化ビニリデン−ヘキサフルオロプロピレン共重合体からなる樹脂膜が形成されたセパレータを用いた事を除いて、実施例3と同様に評価した。
(樹脂膜の製造)
フッ化ビニリデン−ヘキサフルオロプロピレン−アクリロイロキシエチルコハク酸共重合体に変えてフッ化ビニリデン(KF#7200 クレハ製)を用いた事を除いて実施例3と同様に樹脂膜を得た。
前記フッ化ビニリデン−ヘキサフルオロプロピレン共重合体からなる樹脂膜が形成されたセパレータを用いた事を除いて、実施例3と同様に評価した。

Claims (5)
- フッ化ビニリデンと、下記式(1)で表わされる化合物とを共重合して得られるフッ化ビニリデン系共重合体、および溶媒を含む樹脂組成物を、セパレータに塗布する工程(塗布工程)および、樹脂組成物が塗布されたセパレータを乾燥する工程(乾燥工程)を有する非水電解質二次電池用樹脂膜の製造方法。
- 前記式(1)で表わされる化合物が、下記式(2)で表わされる化合物である請求項1に記載の非水電解質二次電池用樹脂膜の製造方法。
- 前記溶媒が、前記フッ化ビニリデン系共重合体の良溶媒と、貧溶媒との混合溶媒である請求項1または2に記載の非水電解質二次電池用樹脂膜の製造方法。
- 前記塗布工程と、前記乾燥工程との間に、樹脂組成物が塗布されたセパレータを、貧溶媒中に浸漬する工程を有する請求項1または2に記載の非水電解質二次電池用樹脂膜の製造方法。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の非水電解質二次電池用樹脂膜の製造方法で得られる非水電解質二次電池用樹脂膜。
