Abstract
Description
触媒を所望の内径を持つ反応管に充填した際の触媒充填質量および触媒充填層長を計測し、下記数式1によって充填密度を算出した。
担体を1Lのメスシリンダー(内径66mm)に2L/minの速度で、1Lの標線まで充填して質量を測定し、下記数式2によって嵩密度を算出した。
精密力量測定器(丸菱科学機械製作所製)を用いて担体の横方向(長さに対し垂直方向)からの圧壊強度を測定し、50個の平均値を圧壊強度とした。
担体を粉砕した後、0.85〜1.2mmの粒径に分級したもの約0.2gを正確に秤量した。秤量したサンプルを200℃にて少なくとも30分間脱気し、BET(Brunauer−Emmet−Teller)法により測定した。
日本工業規格(JIS R 2205(1998年度))に記載の方法に準拠して、以下の手法により測定した。
以下の手法により測定した。
α−アルミナを主成分とする担体(8.6mmリング、嵩比重:0.74g/mL、吸水率:38.2%、アルミナの含有量:99.0質量%)を作製した。
表1に示す形状、物性を有する担体Bを用い、硝酸セシウムの添加量を4.0gとしたこと以外は、上記の実施例1と同様の手法に従って、エチレンオキシド製造用触媒Bを調製した。
表1に示す形状、物性を有する担体Cを用い、硝酸セシウムの添加量を4.0gとしたこと以外は、上記の実施例1と同様の手法に従って、エチレンオキシド製造用触媒Cを調製した。
表1に示す形状、物性を有する担体Dを用い、硝酸セシウムの添加量を4.0gとしたこと以外は、上記の実施例1と同様の手法に従って、エチレンオキシド製造用触媒Dを調製した。
表1に示す形状、物性を有する担体Eを用い、硝酸セシウムの添加量を4.4gとしたこと以外は、上記の実施例1と同様の手法に従って、エチレンオキシド製造用触媒Eを調製した。
表1に示す形状、物性を有する担体aを用い、硝酸セシウムの添加量を2.7gとしたこと以外は、上記の実施例1と同様の手法に従って、エチレンオキシド製造用触媒aを調製した。
表1に示す形状、物性を有する担体bを用い、硝酸セシウムの添加量を2.7gとしたこと以外は、上記の実施例1と同様の手法に従って、エチレンオキシド製造用触媒bを調製した。
表1に示す形状、物性を有する担体cを用い、硝酸セシウムの添加量を8.7gとしたこと以外は、上記の実施例1と同様の手法に従って、エチレンオキシド製造用触媒cを調製した。
表1に示す形状、物性を有する担体dを用い、硝酸セシウムの添加量を4.7gとしたこと以外は、上記の実施例1と同様の手法に従って、エチレンオキシド製造用触媒dを調製した。
表1に示す形状、物性を有する担体eを用い、硝酸セシウムの添加量を4.4gとしたこと以外は、上記の実施例1と同様の手法に従って、エチレンオキシド製造用触媒eを調製した。
表1に示す形状、物性を有する担体fを用い、硝酸セシウムの添加量を4.7gとしたこと以外は、上記の実施例1と同様の手法に従って、エチレンオキシド製造用触媒fを調製した。
表1に示す形状、物性を有する担体gを用い、硝酸セシウムの添加量を5.1gとしたこと以外は、上記の実施例1と同様の手法に従って、エチレンオキシド製造用触媒gを調製した。
表1に示す形状、物性を有する担体hを用い、硝酸セシウムの添加量を4.4gとしたこと以外は、上記の実施例1と同様の手法に従って、エチレンオキシド製造用触媒hを調製した。
表1に示す形状、物性を有する担体iを用い、硝酸セシウムの添加量を4.0gとしたこと以外は、上記の実施例1と同様の手法に従って、エチレンオキシド製造用触媒iを調製した。
表1に示す形状、物性を有する担体jを用い、硝酸セシウムの添加量を6.5gとしたこと以外は、上記の実施例1と同様の手法に従って、エチレンオキシド製造用触媒jを調製した。しかし、含浸工程で担体の粉化が確認された。また、反応管への充填の際に触媒の割れが生じたため、性能評価が実施できなかった。
実施例1〜5および比較例1〜10において得られた触媒A〜E、a〜jを、それぞれ、内径35mm、管長7500mmの外部が加熱型の二重管式ステンレス製反応器中に充填して充填層を形成した。次いで、当該充填層に、エチレン21容量%、酸素7.5容量%、二酸化炭素7容量%、残部がメタン、アルゴン、窒素、エタンからなり(メタン50容積%、アルゴン12容積%、残余(窒素およびエタン)2.5容積%)、さらに二塩化エチレン2.5ppmを含有する混合ガスを導入し、反応圧力20kg/cm2G、空間速度6000hr−1の条件下にてエチレンオキシドを製造した。反応温度は下記表1に記載の条件で行った。また、実施例1で得られた触媒Aを用いて、反応管の内径を31mmとしたことを除いては上記と同様の方法でエチレンオキシドを製造し、実施例6とした。さらに、実施例1で得られた触媒Aを用いて、反応管の内径を39mmとしたことを除いては上記と同様の方法でエチレンオキシドを製造し、実施例7とした。下記数式5および数式6に従って、エチレンオキシド製造時の転化率(数式5)および選択率(数式6)を算出した。結果を下記の表1に示す。
Claims (5)
- α−アルミナを主成分とし、少なくとも40Nの圧壊強度を有し、比表面積が少なくとも1.0m2/gであり、中空円筒の幾何学的形状を有する担体に触媒成分を担持させてなるエチレンオキシド製造用触媒であって、
エチレンオキシド製造用反応器の、内径が少なくとも28mmの反応管に充填されて用いられ、
前記中空円筒における長さ/外径の比が0.5から1.5であり、内径/外径の比が0.38から0.80の範囲内にあることを特徴とする、エチレンオキシド製造用触媒。 - 前記エチレンオキシド製造用反応器は、複数の反応管を備える多管式反応器である、請求項1に記載のエチレンオキシド製造用触媒。
- 少なくとも0.5kg/Lの充填密度で前記反応管に充填される、請求項1または2に記載のエチレンオキシド製造用触媒。
- 前記担体の吸水率が10〜70%である、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のエチレンオキシド製造用触媒。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のエチレンオキシド製造用触媒の存在下で、エチレンを分子状酸素含有ガスにより気相酸化する段階を有する、エチレンオキシドの製造方法。
