Abstract
Description
CO2昇温脱離測定による触媒1LあたりのCO2の脱離量を基準とした前記排ガス浄化用触媒の塩基点量が、1mmol/L−cat以下であるものである。
先ず、θ−アルミナ(比表面積約100m2/g)を含有したスラリーを直径30mm、長さ50mm、容積35cc、400セル/in2,4ミルのコージェライト製のハニカム基材に触媒1リットル当たりのθ−アルミナの担持量が100g/L−catとなるようにしてコートした後、500℃の温度条件下で1時間焼成して、θ−アルミナ(金属酸化物担体)をハニカム基材に担持せしめて触媒担体を得た。
前記θ−アルミナを含有したスラリーの代わりに、ランタン安定化活性アルミナ(比表面積約150m2/g)100g/L−catと、アルミナーセリアージルコニア複合酸化物(ACZ:比表面積約80m2/g)100g/L−catとを含有したスラリーを用いたこと以外は合成例1と同様にしてハニカム状のアルミナーセリアージルコニア複合酸化物含有触媒を製造した。
前記θ−アルミナを含有したスラリーの代わりに、セリア−ジルコニア複合酸化物(CZ:比表面積約70m2/g)100g/L−catを含有したスラリーを用いたこと以外は合成例1と同様にしてハニカム状のセリア−ジルコニア複合酸化物含有触媒を製造した。
(実施例1〜5及び比較例1〜3)
合成例1で得られた触媒を8個準備し、各実施例及び各比較例ごとに下記に示す排ガス浄化用触媒調製用の溶液をそれぞれ用い、各触媒に対して、それぞれの担持元素の担持量が焼成後において触媒1Lあたり0.1mol/L−catとなるようにして下記溶液を含浸担持し、乾燥させた後、大気中、500℃の温度条件で焼成して排ガス浄化用触媒をそれぞれ製造した。

比較のための触媒として、合成例1で得られたハニカム状の触媒をそのまま排ガス浄化用触媒とした。
合成例3で得られた触媒を8個準備し、各実施例及び比較例ごとに下記に示す排ガス浄化用触媒調製用の溶液をそれぞれ用い、各触媒に対して、担持元素の担持量が焼成後において触媒1Lあたり0.1mol/L−Catとなるようにして下記溶液を含浸担持し、乾燥させた後、大気中、500℃の温度条件で焼成して排ガス浄化用触媒をそれぞれ製造した。
〈排ガス浄化用触媒調製用の溶液〉
実施例6:リン酸水溶液[触媒に担持させる元素:P]
実施例7:パラモリブデンアンモンニウム水溶液[触媒に担持させる元素Mo]
実施例8:硝酸鉄水溶液[触媒に担持させる元素:Fe]
実施例9:パラタングステン酸アンモニウム水溶液[触媒に担持させる元素W]
比較例5:オルトけい酸テトラエチルのエタノール希釈溶液[触媒に担持させる元素:Si]
比較例6:チタン(IV)テトラブトキシドモノマーのエタノール希釈溶液[触媒に担持させる元素Ti]
比較例7:硝酸マグネシウム水溶液[触媒に担持させる元素:Mg]
比較例8:硝酸バリウム水溶液[触媒に担持させる元素:Ba]。
比較のための触媒として、合成例3で得られたハニカム状の触媒をそのまま排ガス浄化用触媒とした。
比較のための触媒として、合成例2で得られたハニカム状の触媒をそのまま排ガス浄化用触媒とした。
白金担持前に、リン酸水溶液を含浸し、乾燥させた後、1000℃の温度条件で5時間焼成した以外は合成例2と同様の方法を採用して排ガス浄化用触媒を製造した。なお、実施例10〜11及び比較例11〜12の焼成後のリンの添加量はそれぞれ表1に示す量とした。
焼成後のリンの添加量をそれぞれ表2に示す量とした以外は実施例10と同様の方法を採用して排ガス浄化用触媒を製造した。ただし、このようにして得られた排ガス浄化用触媒においては、触媒活性やOSC能が低下し、触媒性能が低下することが確認された。
白金の代わりに、白金(Pt)とロジウム(Rh)とを担持し、それぞれの担持量が白金(Pt)1g/L−catとロジウム(Rh)0.2g/L−catとなるようにした以外は、実施例10と同様の方法を採用して排ガス浄化用触媒を製造した。このようにして得られた排ガス浄化用触媒の塩基点量を、前述の方法を採用して測定したところ、塩基点量は0.0mmol/L−catであった。
リンを担持しなかった以外は実施例10と同様の方法を採用して排ガス浄化触媒を製造した。なお、このようにして得られた排ガス浄化用触媒の塩基点量を、前述の方法を採用して測定したところ、塩基点量は6.0mmol/L−catであった。
先ず、白金の代わりに、白金(Pt)とロジウム(Rh)とを担持し、それぞれの担持量が白金(Pt)1g/L−catとロジウム(Rh)0.2g/L−catとなるようにした以外は合成例2と同様にしてハニカム状の触媒を製造した。
直径30mm、長さ25mm、容積17.5cc、400セル/in2,4ミルのコージェライト製のハニカム基材を用いた以外は実施例10と同様の方法を採用して排ガス浄化用触媒を製造した。なお、実施例18〜19及び比較例16〜17においては、焼成後のモリブデンの添加量をそれぞれ表4に記載した量とした。
<塩基点量の測定>
実施例1〜5及び比較例1〜4で得られた排ガス浄化用触媒の塩基点量を、前述の塩基点量の測定方法を採用して測定した(図1参照)。なお、塩基点量の測定値は、測定に用いた装置及び測定条件において、CO2脱離処理試験時のバックグラウンドが20〜30ppmあるため、系統誤差を含むことが予測される。そのため、前述のように、塩基点量の算出に際しては、図1に示すCO2脱離処理の昇温開始時とCO2脱離処理終了時のCO2濃度のバックグラウンドを直線で結び、バックグラウンド以上の濃度において観測された脱離ピークのピーク面積を積分して塩基点量を算出する方法を採用した。このようにして測定された各触媒の塩基点量を表5に示す。
塩基点量の測定を行った後の排ガス浄化用触媒(実施例1〜4及び比較例1〜4)に対して、以下に示すようにして、硫黄被毒処理を行った後、還元雰囲気下において硫黄成分の昇温脱離試験を行い、各触媒を用いた場合のH2S排出量を測定した。
実施例6〜9及び比較例5〜9で得られた排ガス浄化用触媒に対して、実施例1〜5及び比較例1〜4で得られた排ガス浄化用触媒の特性を評価した方法と同様の方法を採用して、塩基点量とH2S排出量を測定した。このようにして測定された実施例6〜9及び比較例5〜9で得られた各触媒の塩基点量とH2S排出量を表6に示す。
実施例10〜14及び比較例10〜13の排ガス浄化用触媒に対して、実施例1〜4及び比較例1〜4で得られた排ガス浄化用触媒の特性を評価した方法と同様の方法を採用して、塩基点量及びH2S排出を測定した。このようにして測定された実施例10〜14及び比較例10〜13で得られた各触媒の塩基点量とH2S排出量を表7に示す。
実施例3及び比較例6で得られた排ガス浄化用触媒と、合成例1〜3で得られた触媒の担体に、触媒1Lあたりの担持量がそれぞれ0.01、0.03、0.05、0.15、0.2、0.25、0.3、0.35、0.7mol/L−catとなるようにしてTiを担持して合成した触媒とを用い、前記各触媒の特性評価を行った。
<高硫黄燃料を用いた実車硫黄被毒試験後のH2S発生量の測定>
実施例11及び比較例12で得られた排ガス浄化用触媒を、それぞれ2.4Lのガソリンエンジンを搭載した乗用車の排気系に取り付け、50km程度以下の軽負荷走行を行った後、高温リッチ化制御する試験条件において、各触媒から排出されるH2SとS02の濃度を計測した。このようにしてH2SとSO2の濃度を計測した結果、実施例11で得られた排ガス浄化用触媒においては、比較例12で得られた排ガス浄化用触媒の硫黄成分の排出量に対して、高温リッチ化制御時の硫黄成分の排出量が約10分の1に軽減していたことが確認された。
<S02排出量の測定>
実施例4及び比較例4で得られた排ガス浄化用触媒を用いて、各触媒をそれぞれ特開2002−311013に例示した反応装置に設置し、前記各触媒に、H2(0.3容量%)、O2(0.1容量%)、H2O(10容量%)、SO2(20ppm)及び残りN2からなるリッチガスと、H2(0.2容量%)、O2(0.15容量%)、H2O(10容量%)、SO2(20ppm)及び残りN2からなるリーンガスとを30秒ごとに切り替えながら25L/minの流量で10分間接触させ、出ガス中のSO2排出濃度を測定した。結果を図7に示す。
比較例4で得られた排ガス浄化用触媒を用いて、図1に示されるような条件でCO2吸着処理を行った試料と、前記CO2吸着処理後に図2及び3に示される条件で硫黄被毒処理を行った試料とをそれぞれ準備し、各試料についてIRスペクトルを測定した。このようなIRスペクトルの測定には測定装置として、Thermo−Nicolet社製の商品名「AVATR360」を用いた。得られた結果を図8に示す。
実施例7及び比較例9で得られた非ガス浄化用触媒に対して、実施例4及び比較例4で得られた排ガス浄化用触媒に対して行ったSO2排出量の測定と同様の方法を採用して特性評価を行った。このような測定の結果を図9に示す。
<50%浄化温度の測定>
先ず、実施例15〜19及び比較例14〜17で得られた各排ガス浄化用触媒をそれぞれ特開2002−311013に例示した反応装置に設置し、HC(0.023容量%)、CO+H2(0.05容量%)、NOx(0.01容量%)、CO2(10容量%)、H2O(9.9容量%)、O2及びN2からなる流量25L/minのストイキ変動ガス雰囲気中で昇温試験を行い、HC、CO、NOxの50%浄化温度を測定した。
実施例15〜19及び比較例14〜17で得られた非ガス浄化用触媒に対して、入りガス温度と時間の関係を示すグラフを図10に示す条件とし、入りガス濃度と時間との関係を示すグラフを図11に示す濃度とした以外は、実施例1〜5及び比較例1〜4で得られた排ガス浄化用触媒に対して行ったH2S脱離量の測定方法と同様の方法を採用してH2S排出量の測定を行った。
θ−アルミナ(比表面積約100m2/g)の代わりに、下記に示す担体粉末をそれぞれ用いた以外は、合成例1と同様の方法を採用して比較例20〜22の触媒を調製した。

比較例18:ランタン安定化活性アルミナ粉末(比表面積約150m2/g)、担持量100g/L−cat
比較例19:アルミナーセリアージルコニア複合酸化物(ACZ:比表面積約80m2/g)、担持量100g/L−cat
比較例20:ジルコニア(添加元素なし:比表面積約100m2/g)、担持量100g/L−cat
[比較例4、比較例9及び比較例18〜20で得られた触媒の特性評価]
比較例4、比較例9及び比較例18〜20で得られた触媒に対して、実施例1〜5及び比較例1〜4で得られた排ガス浄化用触媒の特性評価で採用した方法と同様の方法を採用して塩基点量の測定とH2S排出量の測定を行った。結果を表8に示す。
Claims (11)
- 金属酸化物担体に貴金属が担持されてなる排ガス浄化用触媒であって、
CO2昇温脱離測定による触媒1LあたりのCO2の脱離量を基準とした前記排ガス浄化用触媒の塩基点量が、1mmol/L−cat以下である排ガス浄化用触媒。 - 前記排ガス浄化用触媒の塩基点量が、0.5mmol/L−cat以下である、請求項1に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 前記金属酸化物担体に、前記金属酸化物担体を構成する金属元素の陽イオンよりも電気陰性度が大きい元素が担持されている、請求項1に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 前記金属酸化物担体に、リン、モリブデン、タングステン、チタン、鉄及びケイ素からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の元素が担持されている、請求項1に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 前記触媒1Lあたりの前記元素の担持量がそれぞれ0.01〜1.0mol/L−catである、請求項4に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 前記触媒1Lあたりの前記元素の担持量がそれぞれ0.03〜0.3mol/L−catである、請求項4に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 前記触媒1Lあたりの前記元素の担持量がそれぞれ0.05〜0.22mol/L−catである、請求項4に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 前記金属酸化物担体の比表面積が3〜200m2/gである、請求項1に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 前記触媒1Lあたりの前記貴金属の担持量が0.1〜10g/L−catである、請求項1に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 請求項1に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒を備える排ガス浄化装置。
- 請求項1に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒に排ガスを接触させて、排ガスを浄化する排ガス浄化方法。
