外装フィルムとして、ナイロン/アルミ箔/ポリプロピレン(それぞれ厚さが25μm、40μm、50μm)の積層構造を有するラミネートフィルムを用い、内部に電池要素を収納してフィルム外装電池を作製した。フィルム外装電池の外形は長方形で、対向する2つの短辺からそれぞれ正極リードおよび負極リードを引き出した。
挟み込む不織布として、実施例1で用いたのと同じ不織布を2枚重ねた他は、実施例1と同様にしてフィルム外装電池を作製した。
挟み込む不織布として、目付量43g/m2、厚さ90μmのポリエステル製不織布を用いた他は、実施例1と同様にしてフィルム外装電池を作製した。挟み込んだ不織布の枚数は1枚である。
不織布を挟まなかった他は、実施例1と同様にしてフィルム外装電池を作製した。
以上のように作製した実施例1〜3および比較例1のフィルム外装電池について、封止領域の剥離強度を測定した。まず、剥離強度測定用のサンプルを得るため、不織布を挟み込んだ部分(比較例1は不織布を用いていないので、実施例1〜3と同じ部分)を含む外装フィルムを、フィルム外装電池の外側から内側へ向かう方向に、封止されていない部分まで含めて細長く切り出した。そして、得られたサンプルについて、封止されていない部分を引っ張り試験機の2つのチャックに掴ませ、T型剥離試験によって剥離強度を測定した。測定結果を表1に示す。
Claims (12)
- 電気デバイス要素と、
少なくとも非通気層と熱融着性樹脂からなる熱融着層とを積層した構造を持ち、該熱融着層を内面として前記電気デバイス要素を包囲しその周囲で向き合った前記熱融着層同士が熱融着されることによって前記電気デバイス要素を封止する封止領域が形成された外装フィルムと、
前記封止領域の一部に配された、前記熱融着性樹脂よりも高い融点の樹脂からなり、かつ溶融した前記熱融着性樹脂が浸透可能な構造を有する少なくとも1枚のシート状部材と、を有し、
前記シート状部材は、対向する前記外装フィルムに挟まれ、かつ前記電気デバイスを包囲する空間内に露出して配され、前記シート状部材に前記熱融着性樹脂が浸透しているフィルム外装電気デバイス。 - 前記シート状部材は、前記熱融着性樹脂よりも高い融点の樹脂から作られた繊維集合体である、請求項1に記載のフィルム外装電気デバイス。
- 前記繊維集合体は不織布であり、該不織布を構成する繊維間に前記熱融着性樹脂が浸透している、請求項2に記載のフィルム外装電気デバイス。
- 前記シート状部材は、前記熱融着性樹脂よりも高い融点の樹脂から作られた微多孔フィルムであり、該微多孔フィルムの微孔に前記熱融着性樹脂が浸透している、請求項1に記載のフィルム外装電気デバイス。
- 複数枚の前記シート状部材が重なり合って前記外装フィルムに挟み込まれている、請求項1に記載のフィルム外装電気デバイス。
- 前記外装フィルムの前記シート状部材が挟み込まれた領域に、この領域での前記外装フィルムの剥離により前記空間の内部を外気と連通させる圧力開放部が設けられている、請求項1に記載のフィルム外装電気デバイス。
- 前記圧力開放部は、前記封止領域で対向している前記外装フィルムの少なくとも一方に形成された穴または切り込みである、請求項6に記載のフィルム外装電気デバイス。
- 前記封止領域は前記電気デバイス要素に向かって突出する突出部を有し、該突出部において前記不織布が挟み込まれている、請求項6に記載のフィルム外装電気デバイス。
- 前記封止領域の一部に、前記外装フィルム同士が熱融着されていない非融着部が前記電池要素を包囲する空間に連続して入り江状に形成され、この入り江状の部位に前記突出部が設けられている、請求項8に記載のフィルム外装電気デバイス。
- 前記シート状部材は、前記電池要素側の縁から外側に向かって寸法が小さくなる形状である請求項1に記載のフィルム外装電気デバイス。
- 前記熱融着樹脂はポリプロピレンであり、前記シート状部材を構成する樹脂はポリエチレンである、請求項1に記載のフィルム外装電気デバイス。
- 前記電気デバイス要素は、化学電池要素またはキャパシタ要素である、請求項1に記載のフィルム外装電気デバイス。
