Claims (4)
- 多孔質の隔壁によって仕切られると共に排ガスが長手方向に入口から出口へ流通する複数の流通孔を有し、互いに接合した複数のハニカムセグメントを含み、
各ハニカムセグメントは、交互に配置された第1の流通孔と第2の流通孔とを含み、
前記第1の流通孔は、前記入口で目封じされる共に、前記出口で開放され、
前記第2の流通孔は、前記入口で開放されると共に、前記出口で目封じされ、
各ハニカムセグメントは、前記入口に中央部分とこの中央部分を囲む周辺部分とを有した端面を有し、
前記中央部分の前記第2の流通孔は、前記入口で、追加目封じされ、
前記中央部分は、前記入口における流通孔の目封じ率について、前記周辺部分よりも大きい、セラミックフィルタ。 - 前記中央部分の追加目封じ率は、追加目封じ量によって増加するフィルタ全体の圧力損失上昇率が所定値以下であり、且つフィルタに堆積したスート燃焼時の最高温度の低減率が所定値以上であることを前提として設定されている、クレーム1のセラミックフィルタ。
- 前記中央部分の追加目封じ率は、前記入口における各ハニカムセグメントの端面の全面積に対して0.1〜10%の範囲である、クレーム1のセラミックフィルタ。
- 前記中央部分の追加目封じ率は、前記入口における各ハニカムセグメントの端面の全面積に対して0.1〜10%の範囲である、クレーム2のセラミックフィルタ。
