Fuel is sprayed through a fuel injection nozzle 10 and collided with a vaporizing cylinder 7 after flowing through the nozzle hole 5 for gasification. The gasified gas is mixed with secondary air fed through the pores 3 and 4 of the inner cylinder 2 to form flame 14 and flame 15. By means of the radiant heat of the flame 14, the vaporizing cylinder is heated, gasification of the fuel is promoted, and the bottom part of the inner cylinder 2 is heated by means of the flame 15 to prevent staying of sprayed fuel. During the initial stage of ignition, since the temperature of the vaporizing cylinder 7 is lower, the sprayed fuel is collided with the vaporizing cylinder 7, and is dropped on the inner cylinder 2. The fuel dropped on the inner cylinder 2 is drained from the front of a burner, flows through the burner mounting cylinder 12, and is guided to a combustion chamber 13.
