Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an incomplete combustion or a production of tar under a sufficient supply of air even in case of a low drafting force when the ignited flame is raised by a method wherein some air holes are formed in the horizontal planes of the inner and outer plates having the inner and outer flame cylinders of a wick type burner. CONSTITUTION:A wick 1 is projected into a combustion chamber 7 which is constituted between the inner flame cylinder 2 and the outer flame cylinder 3 having a number of air holes 2a and 3a so as to suck the liquid fuel to evaporate the same, mix with the air fed from the air holes 2a and 3a and burn the mixed fule. Red heat coil 8 and red heat net 9 are heated up to a high temperature to produce a radiation heat. Air holes 5a and 6a are arranged in particular at the horizontal planes of the inner and outer flame plates 5 and 6 on which the inner flame cylinder 2 and the outer flame cylinder 3 are mounted. Sufficient volume of air may be fed even if the drafting force is low at a low temperature the flame between a rising up period of and a stationary combustion after the ignition of the fuel is performed, the air collides against the horizontal air streams from the air holes 2a and 3a to generate a turbulent flow to make a superior mixing of the vaporized fuel with the air.
