Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a combustion device for satisfactorily gasifying even if fuel flows down or drops down during the passage from a fuel supply to a fuel gasification and being safe and having a high performance in either type, a vertical or a horizontal.

CONSTITUTION: Fed fuel is dispersed in the direction indicated by a flow (a), i.e., toward a circumferential wall of a heated burner body 28 along a cone 40 and a back surface of a plate 41, the fuel, simultaneously, being gasified instantly. The gasified fuel mixed with primary air fed from an opening 37 by means of a mixing plate 42 is burned in a blue flame at slits 34. After burning, a upper part of the burner body is heated by the blue flames. Where a part of the fuel flows down along the surface of the cone 40 hereupon, the fuel is dispersed in the direction shown by a flow b, i.e., toward the circumferential wall of the burner body 28, forming an auxiliary gasifying chamber 33, along a upper surface of a plate 39. The said fuel then gasified by the heat of the burner body 28 is fed into a gasifying chamber 36, the gasified fuel being burnt together with evaporated gas producing at the inside of the gasifying chamber 38.
