Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a transparent conductive thin film consisting of tin oxide and antimony oxide by application by applying solution of a specified organic acid amide including stannous chloride and antimony halide on a substrate, and heating it, so as to form a thin film including tin oxide and antimony oxide on the substrate. CONSTITUTION:Solution of stannous chloride and antimony halide III dissolved in organic acid amide as shown in the formula (where R refers to hydrogen or an alkyl radical of a carbon number of 1-5.) is applied on a substrate consisting of glass, porcelain, etc., which is heated to be baked, so that a trans parent conductive thin film is formed on the substrate. For the organic acid amide, that shown in the formula is used, and expecially formamide, dimethyl formamide, diethyl formamide, or dipropyl formamide shall preferably be used. Dimethyl formamide shall be used most desirably. For the antimony halide III, antimony trifluoride, antimony trichloride, antimony tribromide, or antimony triodide shall be used, and antimony trichloride shall preferably be used.
