CONSTITUTION:The surface of the organic elastic body is coated by the plasma polymerized film sedimented by the vacuum glow discharge plasma. In other words, the plasma polymerized film a-C:X line 1 is formed on an elastic body formed on a thermal conductive supporting pipe 3, and a heater 4 is incorporated in the thermal conductive supporting pipe in practical use. The a-C:X film 1 can be formed in two layer structure consisting of a high bridge layer of a-C:X film and a low bridge layer of a-C:X film. In such a case, the low bridge layer is provided underneath the high bridge layer, and the low bridge layer in a lower layer functions as a buffer layer to absorb pressure distortion. In such a way, it is possible to obtain an image without generating offset due to a heating roller and also, to improve the durability of the heating roll.
