Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the capability of a supercharge in the initial period of acceleration by providing a relief control valve interposing in a relief passage detouring around a supercharger and fully closing the relief control valve, in the time of acceleration, prior to the opening action of a supercharge control valve, controlled in accordance with a load, in a supercharge passage. CONSTITUTION:In a rotary piston engine, main intake ports 9a, 9b for natural intake and supercharge ports 10a, 10b for supercharge are formed so as to be opened to a working chamber 8 in an intake stroke, being connected respectively communicating with a main intake passage 18 and a supercharge passage 19. The supercharge passage 19 provides a supercharger 22, connecting a relief passage 25 so as to detour around this supercharger 22. The engine interposes a relief control valve 26 in the relief passage 25 while a supercharge control valve 30 in the supercharge passage 19 in the downstream of the supercharger 22. In case of the device thus obtained, when an acceleration operation condition is detected, a control unit 43 executes a control such that the relief control valve 26 is fully closed prior to the opening action of the supercharge control valve 30.
