Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the control with no hunting to be attained by allowing gas of pressure, higher than the pressure of gas passing through a valve unit, to flow into an accumulator chamber further to flow out to a low pressure side through a pressure control part, in the case of a displacement control valve for a variable displacement compressor. CONSTITUTION:This displacement control valve is set up in a flow line connecting a compressor inlet 7 to a cylinder suction port 15 having a valve unit 1 urged in a direction of increasing its opening by a spring 2. Partitioning an accumulator chamber 3 in an opposite side to the spring 2 of the valve unit 1, a flow line 4, providing a pilot valve 5 to be interposed for an inflow of gas of relatively high pressure, is connected to this accumulator chamber 3. While providing in the valve unit 1 a pressure control part 6 for an outflow of gas in the accumulator chamber 3 to a low pressure side, the pilot valve 5, when it is opened to the fixed opening, introduces gas of high pressure into the accumulator chamber 3 starting the valve unit 1 to be closed against the spring 2, and the closing action of the valve unit 1 is performed until an outflow amount of gas from the pressure control part 6 is equalized to an inflow amount of gas from the flow line 4.
