Abstract
PURPOSE:To remarkably improve the wear resistance of the title diaphragm spring by coating the surface of the tip of the spring with a composite plating film wherein a dispersant consisting of SiC is dispersed. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the tip of the lever part 3 of the diaphragm spring 1, namely the contact part 2 with a release bearing, is coated by electroplating or electroless plating with the composite plating film obtained by dispersing an extremely hard dispersant 5 consisting of SiC in a matrix film 6. Since the SiC as the dispersant 5 has high hardness, the diaphragm spring 1 having excellent wear resistance can be obtained.
