Abstract
PURPOSE:To make gate cutting unnecessary, prevent generation of a weldline on a spring leaf and obtain stabilized mold release properties, by a method wherein a submarine gate is provided in a cavity corresponding to the spring leaf and a cavity of a switch body is filled with molten resin through a crosslinking part of the spring leaf from the gate. CONSTITUTION:A cavity 14 corresponding to a form of a switch is formed on a parting line between a movable mold 10 and stationary mold 12, and a submarine gate 18 is formed on the stationary mold 12 so that a gate is communicated with a pin cavity 14A. When molten resin is injected toward a runner 20 after mold registration, the resin is filled out in an ejection bar 16 part first through the submarine 18. Then the molten resin is caused to flow in a right and left directions of a spring leaf 3 through a protrusion 4 of the spring leaf 3, filled out in the inside of the cavity 14 corresponding to a switch body 1 through a crosslinking parts 2 of both ends of the spring leaf 3, molded into a form of the cavity 14, solidified and a desired slide switch is obtained. When a movable mold 10 is separated from a stationary mold 12 and an ejection pin 12 is actuated, the molded product is released from the stationary mold 12.
