Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve maintenance characteristics, to reduce loss of a material and to prevent center deviation between a core and a nozzle, by inserting a manifold block having a nozzle where a nozzle heater is attached in a cavity side so as to be movable forward and backward, and setting a core being capable of connecting with a projected nozzle through a core holder. CONSTITUTION:When an injection nozzle 19 is inserted in the rear part of a manifold block 12, and the block 12 is forwarded to the cavity 7 side, a nozzle 15 is connected with a core 3 of the fixed side in the same center. When a molten resin is injected from an injection nozzle 19 under such a condition that a nozzle heater 16 is charged with electric current, the resin is injected in a sprue 22 in a core 3 of the fixed side from the nozzle 15 and filled in a cavity 7 through a runner 2 and a gate 24. When a set of core 3 and 6 is taken out, the manifold block 12 is moved and the apex of the nozzle 15 is retreated to the position recessed from a punch face so as not to interfere with taking out of the set of cores 3 and 6. A cover 13 over the manifold is rotated and set on a fixed platen 2 again, depending upon the size of a molded item.
