Abstract

PURPOSE:A mold for injection molding thermoplastic resins, designed to leave gate residues scarcely in molded articles, wherein a hot block is provided in a cavity in almost a straight line in contact with a cavity block at tilted surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A molten resin is injected from the sprue 2 into the cavities 8 in the cavity blocks 7 via the runners 4 and 5 of the hot block 1, and molded. The hot block 1 is brought into contact with the cavity block 7 at the tilted surfaces 9, and the gates 6 are in direct contact with the openings 12 of the molten resin of the cavities 8, thus scarcely leaving gate residues in molded articles.
