Abstract

PURPOSE:The title mold designed to prevent the resin clogging in the gate and to reduce the variation of molded articles, comprising a member in a cavity plate insulated therefrom so that the plate is brought into contact with the gate of a hot block in mold opening. CONSTITUTION:A resin is injected from the gate 1 of the hot block 2 through the opening 8 into the cavity 3, and the mold is opened to seal the gate 1 with the heat insulating member 10 on the side of the hot block 2. The member 10 prevents the resin leak, retains the heat around the gate 1, and reduces the heat dissipation. Molding can be carried out readily without fear of resin clogging of the gate, and the thorough cooling of the cavity in the cooling step reduces the variation of molded articles with a higher degree of dimensional accuracy.
