Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of assembling steps and the cost of material by providing a vacuum sucking hole in a wiring machine and securing a semiconductor chip. CONSTITUTION:A hole if which is smaller than a semiconductor chip 3 to be placed on the die stage 1a of a lead frame is formed at the stage 1a. A vacuum sucking hole 6 which is smaller than the chip 3 provided at the heater block 75 of a wiring machine is evacuated in vacuum through a vacuum evacuating hole 7, thereby securing the chip 3 onto the stage 1a. Then, the electrodes of the chip 3 are wired by gold wirings 2 to the ends of the inner leads 1b of the lead frame. The center of the lead frame for placing the chip 3 is sealed by molding resin. A resin-sealed semiconductor device can be manufactured without chip attaching step of securing the chip 3 to the stage 1 with such a configuration.
