Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten a time required for execution of a microprogram by separating a part of a microprogram field from other parts and decoding this separated part via a logic circuit having a specific algorithm for generation of a microprogram bit pattern of the next step. CONSTITUTION:A part of a microprogram field is separated as a microprogram bit pattern generating field (G field). Then a microprogram bit pattern including the G field where the production of a microprogram bit pattern of the next step is previously taken into consideration is read out of a memory part 1 and sent to a register 3. A decoder 4 decodes the partial output of the register 3 corresponding to the G field via a logic circuit constituted based on a fixed standard. This decoded output serves as a part or the whole of the microprogram bit pattern of the next step so that the microprogram of the next step is produced without reading a bit pattern out of the part 1. In such a way, the time required for execution of a microprogram is shortened.
