Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent reverse regeneration and to satisfactorily maintain the quality of treated water by forming anion and cation exchange resin layers to the upper and lower part in a regeneration column, forming a mixed resin layer in the middle part thereof, and providing discharge pipes which discharge the exchange resins after the resins are regenerated by injection of chemicals corresponding to the respective ion exchange resin layers to each of the respective layers. CONSTITUTION:The resins supplied from a condensate desalting column 1 and a mixed resin tank 4 are separated to the anion cation exchange resin layer and the cation exchange resin layer in the regeneration column 3. The alkaline chemical is thereafter injected from an injection pipe 14 to the anion exchange resin layer and the acidic chemical from another injection pipe 13 to the cation exchange resin layer, respectively. The resins are regenerated by passage of the respective chemicals through the corresponding resins. After the resins are cleaned, the anion exchange resin is discharged from the output pipe 16 thereof and the cation exchange resin is discharged from another outlet pipe 19, respectively. The mixed resin in the middle part in the column 3 is transferred from the corresponding outlet pipe 18 to the mixed resin tank 4.
