Abstract
PURPOSE: To separate and regenerate the mixed resin of the anionic ion exchange resin and the cationic ion exchange resin, being served for the desalting treatment, by employing the cationic regenerating column and the anionic regenerating column, and by using the back washing water and the caustic soda solution.
CONSTITUTION: The inert resin is added to the mixture of cationic and anionic ion exchange resins, and the resin mixture is charged into the cationic regenerating column 1. The back washing water 2 is fed into the bottom of the column 1, and is passed upward; hereby, the resin mixture is separated into the cationic ion exchange resin 3, the mixed resin 4 of cationic ion exchange resin 3 and inert resin, the inert resin 5, the mixed resin 6 of anionic exchange resin and inert resin, and the anionic ion exchange resin 7. Then, the layers 3, 4, 5, are put into the anionic regenerating column 9 through the resin discharge pipe 8, and the 5% NaOH solution 10 is fed into the column 9 for recovering the cationic ion exchange resin 3. This is separated by inflow of 10W12% NaOH solution and is taken out; after that, the residual resin is treated with the back washing water 2 for separating the anionic exchange resin K from the inert resin 5. The residual inert resin is returned to the untreated mixed ion exchange resin.
