Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the dispersion of the depth of a gap and to attain manufacture with a high yield by providing a degree deciding surface which is orthogonal to a magnetic head core chip on the upper facing surface of a magnetic clearance part in the magnetic head core chip so as to process a core block. CONSTITUTION:A nonmagnetic material spacer regulating a gap clearance is adhered, and the core block is obtained as one body. Groove processing is executed in the core block so that the track part 7 of an optional width remains, and a fusion glass 12 is melted, whereby the magnetic head core block whose track groove is filled is obtained. Next the core block is cut so that it has the degree deciding surface 8 orthogonal to the magnetic head core chip on the upper facing surface of the magnetic clearance part 13 in the core chip and it is polished by a jig. Then the core block is disposed in the inserting groove 9 of a slider 10 so that it is degree-decided by the degree deciding surface, and said fusion glass 12 is melted again so as to make them one body.
