Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a manufacturing method for magnetic head which is assembled easily and has high assembly precision. CONSTITUTION:An erasure core chip 8 is made of a block of sendust and a nonmagnetic material 3, such as glass, and has a cut groove 7 extending from its reverse-side center part to the nonmagnetic material 3. A fixing frame 9 wherein the erasure core chip 8 and a recording/reproducing core 1 are incorporated is made of ceramic, etc., and has the 1st lengthwise cut groove 10 and 2nd widthwise cut groove 11 which cross with each other nearly in the center of its top surface 9a at right angles. The 1st cut groove 10 extends from the top surface 9a to a reverse surface 9b at both end parts 10a and 10a. The recording/ reproducing core 1 with a recording/reproducing gap 1a is made of sendust, etc. For assembly, leg parts 1b and 1b of the core 1 are inserted into the 1st cut groove 10 of the fixing frame 9 to project from the reverse surface 9b, and the erasure core chip is inserted into the 2nd cut groove 11 of the fixing frame 9. At this time, the previously incorporated core 1 is inserted into the cut groove 7b of the narrow part of the erasure core chip. They are joined with fused glass.
