Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate an assembly of a magnetic head with high precision, by forming a groove for insertion of a recording/reproducing core and a groove for insertion of an erasing core chip to a front panel made of a nonmagnetic material and using an erasing core ship obtained by unifying two erasing cores. CONSTITUTION:Grooves 6a and 6b are formed with a material like ceramics, etc. for insertion of a recording/reproducing core 1 and an erasing core chip 5, respectively. In addition to these grooves, a slant groove 6c is formed at the center of a front panel 6. A recording/reproducing gap 1a is formed to the panel 6, and the core 1 having a stage part 1e of a prescribed size C on an end face 1d of a foot part 1b of one side is put into the groove 6a. Then a projection part 2b of the chip 5 obtained by unifying two erasing cores 2 with a nonmagnetic material 3 is fitted to the groove 6b. A foot part 1c of the core 1 is put into a groove 3a of the material 3, and the part 1e is pressed to the material 3 of the chip 5 to have the accurate positioning between the core 1 and the chip 5. Then a binder (glass, etc.) is melted into the groove 6c to connect each component parts. In such a way, a magnetic head is assembled with high precision.
