Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve characteristic of wear resistance against earth and sand and improve anti-cavitation characteristic by coating a water flowing member of a hydraulic machine with epoxy resin added with liquid state rubber and inorganic powder. CONSTITUTION:A hydroelectric water turbine is constituted with water flowing members such as a crown 5, a shroud 6, a runner impeller 7, a runner cone 8, a guide vane 9, a stay vane 10, a runner liner 11 and a seat liner 12 and others. The intended purpose is achieved by coating the surfaces of said water flowing members of the water turbine with epoxy resin added with liquid state rubber and inorganic powder. As the liquid state rubber, polybutadiene rubber or silicone rubber is added by 200-400 weight parts to 100 weight parts of epoxy resin. As the inorganic powder, crystalline or spheroidal silica or alumina is added by less that 60 weight % to the mixture of the epoxy resin and the liquid state rubber.
