Accordingly, thickness (cell thickness) of the liquid crystal layer 13 of the liquid crystal cell 10 can be equalized as much as possible, and in addition to the liquid crystal cell 10, at least one layer of optical anisotropic body 20 is provided. In such a way, a display image which is free from a variance of Vth and a contrast of every color, and also, uniform and clean can be obtained.
