Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a stable superconducting material with the high critical temperature, by subjecting a sintered compact powder prepared from a powdery blend raw material consisting of given amounts of a group IIIa element of the periodic table, Ba, Cu and Sn or respective compounds thereof to calcining and sintering treatment. CONSTITUTION:A group IIIa element M of the periodic table or a compound powder thereof, Ba or a compound powder thereof, copper or a compound powder thereof and Sb or a compound powder thereof are collected and blended so as to correspond to the aimed composition. The resultant blended powder having 0.1-10mu particle diameter, as necessary, is calcined at 700-1,000 deg.C and the obtained calcined compact is pulverized to afford a calcined compact powder having 0.1-10mu particle diameter. The resultant powder is used as a raw material powder, sintered at 850-1,050 deg.C and annealed at <=100 deg.C/min cooling rate to afford the titled superconducting material containing a compound oxide expressed by formula I (0.3<=w<=1.95; 0.05<=x<=1.8; 2.0<=z<=5.0; 0.01<=y<=0.6 when formula II is assumed as 1).
