Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a thick coating superconducting film on a basic material in a short time by spraying superconducting powder of composite oxide superconducting material including CuxOy radical on the surface of the basic material by a spray coating method for forming the coating film of the material, and applying heating and cooling processes to a superconducting element composed of the basic material and the film. CONSTITUTION:A coating film of composite oxide superconducting material including CuxOy radical is formed on a copper basic material 2 by a plasma spray coating device 1, and an electrode 6 is provided in a spray coating nozzle 5 arranged in a vacuum vessel 4 of the device 1, and further a plasma electric source 7 is connected between the nozzle 5 and the electrode 6. A superconducting element 8 is heated for a specified time at a temperature of 700-980 deg.C in an atmosphere containing oxygen, and thereafter cooled to a temperature of 400-600 deg.C at the speed of 20 deg.C/min. or less, then heated again at a temperature of 400-600 deg.C, and further cooled to a room temperature after a specified time, thereby controlling crystal structure of the film 3 and the oxygen concentration.
