Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive the improvement of the positioning accuracy, by correcting the dislocation by using the position information extracted from a track for servo-information, as a representative value of position information of tracks for all data recording in a block. CONSTITUTION:The data recording surface is divided into prescribed plural blocks BK1-BK3 by utilizing at least one face of plural data recording surfaces and using a set of continuous plural pieces of plural data recording tracks existing on the same surface, as one block, and at least one piece of data recording track in the vicinity of the center of respective blocks BK1-BK3 is arranged as tracks SVT1-SVT3 for servo-information in which plural pieces of position information are written continuously extending over the whole periphery of the track. In this state, the dislocation correction is executed by using the position information extracted from said tracks SVT1-SVT3 for servo- information, as the representative value of position information of all data recording tracks in the block containing the servo-information track. In such a way, the positioning accuracy is improved.
