Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve an ignition characteristic and a stability of combustion just after ignition in a combustion device for liquid fuel to be used in a heating purpose by a method wherein an oil feeding of an oil feeder is started after a predetermined time elapses after an electric heater is energized. CONSTITUTION:As a power supply is turned on for a combustion device, energization for an electric heater 4 is started and its temperature starts to raise. When an oil feeding pump 2 starts to operate with a certain time delay, oil fuel 7 within a gasification device 3 is gradually increased and then contacted with the electric heater 4. At this time, expanded gasified gas is returned back from a communication port 5 through a cleanrance between a nozzle pipe 6 and a valve lever 10 and through an oil discharging passage 19 into an oil reservoir 1 and again gasified. During preheating operation, the oil feeding pump 2 may continue to send the fuel oil into the gasification device 3, so that boiling and gasification of the fuel oil are carried out continuously. Temperatures of fuel in its liquid phase and gas phase are approximately the same as those of it during combustion. A delay time ranging from starting of energization to starting of operation of the oil feeding pump 2 is required to set the most effective and appropriate time.
