Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase output variation with liquid level and to improve detection accuracy by making characteristics of respective liquid level detecting elements irregular and increasing output voltages with a liquid level close to the center of swinging with different gradients. CONSTITUTION:Resistance bodies 4A and 4B are fitted to a support body 3 at a specific interval on a straight lines running in the center of swinging and the resistance body 4B which is close to the center is larger in specific resistance. A constant current is supplied to the resistance bodies and a voltage measurement part 6 detects a potential difference accompanying variation in resistance value corresponding to the liquid level WL. An arithmetic part 7 calculates the liquid level WL in a tank 1 from various elements such as voltage values, the arrangement interval, the lengths of the resistance bodies 4A and 4B, etc., and the result is displayed on a level meter 8. The arithmetic part 7 finds the difference correction value of the level characteristics of the resistance bodies by an offset mechanism 11, then the difference output DELTAVe is multiplied by a constant G by a multiplier 9, and an adder 10 adds the correction value VBe' to the output GDELTAVe, so that the sum is displayed. This constitution eliminates the need to uniform the characteristics of the resistance bodies strictly and the low-cost level sensor is obtained.
