Abstract

PURPOSE: To highly accurately measure the DC resistance at a high speed by determining the ratio between the mean digital quantity of a current flowing through a resistor to be measured and the mean digital quantity of the voltage generated at the both terminals thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A digital signal 17, which is gradually increased from zero, is fed from a micro-processor MP 16 to a D/A converter 10, from which a constant current corresponding linearly to the signal 17 is fed out. At the both terminals of a resistor 11 to be measured, there is generated a voltage which is proportional to the current value which is produced from the converter 10. As a result, the voltage, which is amplified by an amplifier 13 having a preset gain, is converted into a digital quantity by an A/D converter 14 so that the resultant digital signal 15 is fed to the MP 16. This signal 15 is supplied to the MP 16 each time the signal 17 is renewed to a value, and the measurements are started at the time when the signsl exceeds a preset value so that the signals 17 and 15 are stored in the MP 16. Thus, it is possible to remarkably improve the measuring time and accuracy.
