Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an apparatus capable of measuring the fuel consumption level of a diesel engine at a high accuracy by providing an arithmetic measurement circuit adapted to measure by the computation of (engine revolutions)X (accelerator opening)X(constant). CONSTITUTION:An accelerator opening detection circuit 20 which outputs the opening of an accelerator using an electrostatic capacity type range measuring circuit and an engine revolutions detection circuit adapted to generating signals corresponding to the engine revolutions by shaping and dividing signals of an alternator 30 and a neutral terminal 30a are inputted into a fuel consumption circuit 40. Pulses from the fuel consumption circuit 40 are added up with a measuring circuit 50 to measure the fuel consumption level which is displayed on an indication circut 60. With such an arrangement, the fuel consumption circuit 40 computes (engine revolutions)X(accelerator opening)X(constant) thereby enabling the measurement of the fuel consumption level of a diesel engine at a high accuracy.
