Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure an air suction volume with high precision with the help of a simple circuit by converting a period to a voltage per period of vortex generated proportional to an air suction value and sample-holding a voltage value per period. CONSTITUTION:A fuel supply volume is calculated at a signal corresponding to an air suction value on an internal combustion engine and according to other operating conditions. Then based on the calculated results, fuel supplied to an internal combustion engine is controlled. In this case, a volute flow meter 1 which outputs a signal of frequency corresponding to an air suction value, an integrating meter 5 which converts the period of a signal from the flow meter 1 to an analog voltage per period and a circuit 6 which sample-holds an analog voltage per period are provided. Thus, an output from the circuit 6 is supplied to a fuel feed arithmetic device 8 as a signal corresponding to an air suction value, so that measurement of an air suction value is carried out.
