Abstract
PURPOSE: To minimize fluctuations in a resistance value and an operational temperature of a heater after long-term energization by forming thin adhesion layers around a pair of electrodes.
CONSTITUTION: Surfaces of a pair of electrodes 1 and 2 are coated with thin adhesion layers 3, for example, vinyl trimethoxy silane. Extrusion coating of a resistive material, which consists of a mixture of crystalline plastics and a conductive additive and has a positive temperature coefficient, is performed between electrodes 1 and 2 so as to form a resistor 4. Adhesiveness of the electrodes 1, 2 to the resistor 4 is improved by forming the layer 3 in this way. No peeling phenomenon occurs between the electrodes 1, 2 and the resistor 4 even after long-term energization, so that a resistance value and an operational temperature are stabilized.
